Thank you to the wonderful team at Off Road Cave Safari. It was a great adventure traveling into the mountains, learning about traditional Fijian culture and village life along the way. The cave tour was amazing! Our guide, Suddam, was incredibly informative and brought the history of the caves to life with fascinating stories and cultural insights. It was a perfect mix of adventure and learning — exploring the caves while discovering the deep traditions and legends connected to them. Shout out to Moses our driver for looking after us 👍🏻 Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Fiji’s history and culture in a unique and memorable way!

My husband and I had the most wonderful time on this tour. Tia and Moses were the most amazing tour guides. Tia had the most wonderful stories to tell, including history of this whole area, not just the caves. The vehicle we were transported to the caves in was very comfortable and sheltered very well from the sun. It’s a short walk from where the vehicle stops to the entrance of the caves. So many different chambers to explore and so much to look at and take in. The Cava ceremony with the “Priest” of the land that the cave was part of was very respectful and educational. He welcomed us to the land and the cave after hearing a little about each of us. Tia’s guidance was always helpful and had our safety and in mind as well as making sure we were respectful of where we were. Finishing off with a delicious BBQ lunch in the nice shady cabana and a chat with Moses. Overall, highly recommended.

With an early morning pick up at our resort we were bused to Sigatoka to check in. A quick coffee and easy checkin we were off to the base of the river where we crossed by boat to board the “road less travelled “ 4 wheel drive vehicle for an amazing off road adventure, expertly driven by driver Zac and commentary by local culture guide Tia Maria. Our next stop was to the local Priest house for a Kava ceremony and to be granted permission to enter the Naihehe Caves. Our wonderful guide Saddam led us through water ankle deep into the caves enlightening us on the local Fijian history. A lovely Fijian BBQ lunch was shared by all before we returned to the river bank and bused back to our resort. Just the most wonderful moving experience in this beautiful country. So grateful to have joined this tour today. Thanks to the entire team. Water shoes, a camera and a sense of adventure is a must.

My wife and I did the Off-road Cave Safari as part of our honeymoon. We both really enjoyed the day. From Saddam's family orientated knowledge about the cave to Tia Maria's bubbly personality. Our driver Zac did a great job of looking after us too. The bonus was being part of a Figian ceremony, to gain access to the cave. A cultural experience that was an honour to be a part of. To top this off, the crew prepared a delicious barbecue lunch spread that kept us all full for the remainder of the day. To top our visit off, we did the jet boat experience with Captain Knox who also had plenty of knowledge and did a fantastic job of driving the boat in such shallow water.

From start to finish, this cave tour was absolutely incredible! The highlight for us was the team of fantastic tour guides, Una and Moses, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and welcome throughout the journey. Their passion for Fijian history and culture really shone through and made the experience so much more meaningful. The historical insights we learned about the caves were fascinating, especially the stories tied to ancient tribal traditions and how the caves were used in the past. One of the most unique and memorable parts of the tour was meeting the local priest. He welcomed us with a kava ceremony and gave us blessings to enter the cave. And let’s not forget the BBQ lunch! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked by Moses. It was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible day of exploration and learning. We also did a boat trip up the River Sigatoka. This was beautiful and captain Josh made it fun and adventurous. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fiji, it’s the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and hospitality!

If you want to get out of the typical tourist traps this is for you. The experience takes you into the farming centre of Fiji, through local villages, and into a cave system steeped in history. Moses (our driver and representative to the local priest) and Sadam (our history, area, and cave guide) were funny and informative - and they are from the valley. This was a brilliant half day trip and the best excursion I have had in Fiji because it was really off the beaten track, and I enjoyed spending time with great local people.

We really enjoyed this tour - our guide Tia Maria was great at explaining things about life in Fiji as well as the history of the local countryside. I really enjoyed the history stuff especially. The locals are all so friendly and I enjoyed getting a chance to see the way locals live. The cave was really cool - and they made us an excellent BBQ lunch, it was delicious!
