Meeting time is actually 8:30am and not 8am like listed. And tour will actually last 9-9.5 hours and not 8 like listed. I mention this because I had to leave the tour early to catch a flight because I did not have this information beforehand which means I was unable to cancel or reschedule the tour. We only received a message about a later meeting time the day before. And the tour guide told us right after we left the meeting point in the morning that we would not arrive back in Napoli until 5:30pm so this tells me that the tour operator already knew the actual end time of the tour but did not correctly list this information on Viator (so it 's not as if we hit traffic on the way back that delayed us). I had sent a message months prior when I first booked the tour asking if we would be back around 4pm but they did not answer that specific question. I ended up deciding to leave the tour after Pompeii and lunch so that I could make it back to Napoli and catch my flight. The tour guide tried to have me sign a form stating I would not request a refund when I left early but I declined. I sent a message to the tour operator the next day requesting a partial refund of a reasonable amount since I had to miss the second half of the day including the guided tour on Mount Vesuvius plus I then had to pay 30euros to get me to the nearest train station. They initially did not respond and only did when I said I would contact Viator support. Their response was basically that the times were only approximate and then told me they already contacted Viator support. It was weeks without hearing anything so I contacted Viator support myself. Viator said the tour company declined the partial refund because they said it was my choice to leave and Viator could not override their decision. Yes it was my choice to leave, but if the tour company would have listed proper information or answered my message about the end time months prior, I would not have been put in this situation by this tour operator. Other points to note: *Meeting point was a little chaotic because there are so many tours meeting at the same place and there are no signs stating which tour guide is for which tour. And when you ask one, they just say "that's not me" and then it's just up to you to keep asking multiple so you can get checked in and make sure you get in the right van. *The tour guide ?Mady was very nice and tried to help me find a solution but obviously without cutting the tour short for the other customers, there was no option but to leave early or take the chance of missing my flight. She did call the restaurant and arrange for a taxi to pick me and get me to closest train station. *Pompeii tour guide was ok. The guy was a little repetitive. Obviously I can't comment on the Mt. Vesuvius one. The lunch was good! A nice array of food delivered to our tables and I felt fulfilled. The restaurant also clearly serves many tour groups so they were very on top of things and got the food out quickly.

Good guides. Long day. A long wait between courses at restaurant but meal was good. Wear comfortable shoes. Hiked up Versuvius in 30 degree heat! Worth it for the views from the top. Don't go to Pompei on 1st Sunday of month ( free so ultra busy and lots of queueing)

Would not recommend this particular tour company. Had a horrible experience in Pompeii due to our tour guide there. Lunch was delicious, and Lorenzo and our driver were very nice. But unfortunately we came out of our tour of Pompeii feeling our money was wasted with Ana.

Great day visiting Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Weather did not start out well but Arianna and Remigio took good care of us. Lunch was a lovely Italian meal which was yummy. The walk up Mt Vesuvius was good…better if you were a goat…lol. The cloud cover did make it quite eerie answered not able to see inside the crater…can’t help the weather. Was a great experience all round.
