5.00We had a lovely 2 hours observing the night-life below the water. We passed over stingrays, saw garfish gliding & jumping, an eel & numerous other aquatics I can't name. Patrick & Lillianne were excellent guides, spotting & guiding us to these animals & sharing their knowledge. An enjoyable & calming evening

5.00Perfect evening with friends (and new friends!) Ali, Dan and Ben showed us a playground of life in beautiful Lake Macquarie, including sting rays, puffer fish, an eel, dinner-plate-sized crabs, nimble garfish, and an huge octopus. Dan also gave us the best lesson on the stars I’ve ever had as we listened to the black swans in the distance. Our group was lovely and the weather was great - best to book soon as it’ll be nicer in the warmer months. Exciting, informative and peaceful, great with family or friends.

Gliding across Lake Macquarie at water level gives you an authentic encounter with some of Australia’s most interesting wildlife — bats, birds, marine life, and the quiet rhythms of the lake itself. It’s a beautiful way to slow down and see a side of the region you’d never get from the highway. Highly recommended for anyone passing through or staying locally. A real gem.
