Lago Argentino
Tour of the coast of Lake Argentino, which stands out as the largest lake in Argentina. The history of the place leads us to remember the journeys of explorers like Francisco Pascasio Moreno, who baptizes the Lake as Argentino. Climbing the cliff Punta Bonita appreciates its magnitude, the mountains of the Andes Mountains and the landscape around El Calafate.
Walichu Caves
We visit the archaeological area called Punta Walichu where you can see cave paintings on the walls of the caves, made by the natives thousands of years ago. Through the interpretation of the paintings you can understand the way of life and culture of the Tehuelche community. The visit ends in one of the caves, where we offer a lunch or dinner overlooking Lake Argentino.

After this excursion, I realize that smaller groups are way better than big bus tours. Picked up in a four x four at my hotel, the adventure started from the first moment. Our tour guide Sergio truly loves his job and sharing information about the natives who first settled here thousands of years ago. Our tour included nine people from around the world. It was Carolina's birthday so Sergio arranged a mini cake with candle for her and we sang Happy Birthday in English, Spanish, Italian and German. I loved getting to know a family from Germany who are on a six week vacation. I learned about how these natives hunted, gathered and cooked food, built their home, survived the cold, gave birth, buried the dead and more! We stopped by a scenic vista to take photos in front of Lago Argentina, then went in the caves, featuring cave paintings. Guillermo was our tour guide for this portion and he truly loves his outdoor office too. The finale was a three course lunch in a cave. Everything on this tour was outstanding. Probably my favorite adventure in this trip! This tour company--Patagonia Profuna--has the best guides!

This trip was very informative and pleasant. Our guide was full of comments on the history of the region and, above all, that of the first inhabitants. The scenery is beautiful and dinner in the cavern near the lake was an extraordinary experience. The food was good and the service of the staff was up to standard.

Our El Calafate cave tour with Patagonia Profunda was absolutely amazing and unforgettable! A huge thank you to our incredible tour guide Nahuel — his knowledge is outstanding, and the way he explains everything in such great detail truly makes the experience special. He guided us on what to see, what to photograph, and what to understand about every place we visited. He paid attention to every single detail and took such good care of all of us. Every one of us was delighted by his passion, kindness, and professionalism. Simply exceptional! And another big thank you to our wonderful chef Dylan — wow, what a treat! The traditional Patagonian lamb stew served in bread was absolutely incredible. The pumpkin soup was delicious, and the chocolate mousse with calafate that he prepared was 100% delicious 😋 — truly unforgettable flavors! Patagonia Profunda, congratulations on having such a wonderful team. You are truly lucky to have people like Nahuel and Dylan representing you. Once again, thank you so much Nahuel and Dylan. We will never forget your service and hospitality!

Very good experience. Our guide was Cristian and made us a very pleasant and enriching walk of knowledge about the place and the first inhabitants. To finish a dinner with lamb casserole and a chocolate mousse that was for the heart attack. Seeing the sunset there and dining in the light of the lanterns is a unique experience

This was an incredible excursion and one we’ll never forget! Our guide, Guillermo, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the area - especially the caves and their history. The day was the perfect mix of experiences: • Exploring the landscape by 4x4 and learning about the land/history • Stopping for great photos at a stunning viewpoint • Visiting the caves and seeing ancient paintings • Enjoying a delicious meal (with plenty of wine!) in-front of a breathtaking view All of the guides were friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they do. They made the meal all the more special. We really can’t recommend this trip enough - it was a 10/10 experience!
