What To Expect

Discover natural wines in the hills of Prosecco with Matteo, a winemaker who carries out traditional techniques to create authentic wines rooted in the territory. Nestled between the enchanting hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the winery is set within a fifteenth-century estate, offering a unique experience rich in history. The route begins with a walk through the vineyards, followed by a visit to the old winery, where you can see up close the natural winemaking process and the artisan attention devoted to each bottle. The guided tasting will allow you to discover three unique expressions of Glera, demonstrating the versatility of this vine: This is not – Glera still, vinified as it used to be This neither – Glera Colfondo, naturally refermented in Extra Brut bottle – Glera Charmat method. The tasting takes place in the historic cellar, renovated in 2024. This journey through natural wines and tradition is a rare opportunity to taste the territory in a genuine way, exploring the true soul of the Prosecco region. Each tasting is conducted personally by Matteo, to ensure an authentic experience.

The setting is breathtaking, with vineyards cascading down the hillsides, yet the true highlight is the intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The visit to the winery, wonderfully restored while maintaining the charm of the past, is just one of many reasons to spend a few hours in this unique place suspended in time. For the rest: unconventional wines, a unique landscape that is lost on the horizon and Matteo and his family who will make you feel at home with their unique kindness and delicacy. What more could you want? A glass of local wine, bread and cheese and maybe a nice sunset! Better than that!

I had the great pleasure of visiting the cellar that Matteo has renovated in an incredible way with great taste and style. A space that combines modernity and tradition as well as the wine it produces. Care, passion and attention to detail are perceived in every aspect. The atmosphere is welcoming and genuine and allows you a real dip in the beauty of nature. In this context it was a real pleasure to taste Matteo's wines that represent the territory as artisan products should always do. I highly recommend visiting Monban to anyone looking for an authentic experience and wines that tell the story of the territory.

I have known Matteo for a few years now, I know his products and I could not wait to inaugurate the new spaces. Cellar and tasting room are spectacular (the view we do not talk about), modern but super cozy, while maintaining the original structures of the building. Matteo is a vigneron and a wonderful host, in every word he shines the passion he puts into his work. Highly recommended to discover the true essence of local wines and enjoy a couple of hours of relaxation and beautiful chats

Got to know Matteo and his wines of monban first hand after having researched him as the only natural wine maker situated in the area where traditionally Prosecco is made. At the time it was Easter holiday and he drove out to the estate to give my wife and I a first hand experience on his wines and terroir. Matteo was a lovely host who is very knowledgeable and driven to transform the beautiful hillside venue with historic land house into a fully established estate.

I had the pleasure to visit Mon Ban and meet Matteo and I was thrilled. The passion for natural viticulture is perceived in every detail. The atmosphere is welcoming and genuine, with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The tasting was a sensory journey: authentic wines, alive and rich in personality. If you love natural wines and are looking for an experience out of the box, this winery is a must-see. I will definitely be back!
