The tour starts at the beautiful, sandy beach of Kalandos! After an equipment check and safety briefing by your certified guide, you’ll be ready to go! You’ll be paddling a distance of about 9 km. Along the way, the view from the neighboring Cycladic islands is breathtaking!

You will paddle among awesome geological formations along the coastline, make stops at tiny sea coves, until you reach the most impressive of them all: Rhina Cave with its ceiling of miniature stalactites and its inviting beach nearby!

Rhina Cave’s pristine, secluded beach invites you to relax. We'll make a stop at the beach for about 30-40 min. Your guide will prepare for you delicious snacks. All you have to do is just sit back and enjoy, or swim, snorkel and explore the rich marine life of the area!

Then back to our kayaks to head back to the starting point at Kalandos Beach. End the tour with a delicious traditional (optional) meal at the local taverna.

What To Expect

An adventurous and eco-friendly way to explore Naxos' lacey coastline from the vantage point of your kayak. Visit Rhina Cave with its ceiling of miniature stalactites. Snorkel in the blue-green waters of the Aegean Sea to explore the area’s rich marine life. Enjoy delicious homemade snacks made from local products. Certified guides look forward to sharing with you all they know about the area’s geography, geology, wildlife, and local information. Fantastic! The guides were all so helpful, kind, upbeat and knowledgeable. They made us feel so comfortable and gave clear instructions. It was a beautiful day of kayaking plus being driven across the island to get there & back, with some history and info on the way. We learned a lot and enjoyed kayaking, swimming and exploring the cave

We had a great time on this kayaking tour. The amount of time kayaking was totally doable and the sights were beautiful. The cave was very cool. We had a good amount of time to explore and swim/snorkel at the cave area. There was time on the shore where our guides told us stories of the history and mythology of the island, while feeding us a nice snack of some local products. We have gone on many tours with Trekking Hellas Naxos and we have loved all of our guides and all of the tours!

We had the best time on our sea kayaking tour to Rina Cave this morning. Both of our guides were friendly, informative, and entertaining. We learned interesting and historical facts about Naxos throughout the tour. We arrived at Rina Cave before most of the boats and other sea kayaking tours arrived, which meant it wasn't crowded. The snorkelling into the cave was magical, and the light snack that was provided before the row back was delicious. A must do adventure when visiting Naxos.

DO NOT MISS THIS! We had the most amazing time on the kayaking tour. Our guides were AMAZING. They were so friendly and helpful and you could tell they truly love Naxos and their jobs. It is a small group tour with only 4 tandem kayaks (8 participants total) with two guides so you get a very personalized experience and also felt so safe. The water was calm and clear and you learn so much about the island. We loved the stop at the cave and enjoyed swimming, cliff jumping and a light snack. My husband lost his Apple Watch during the cliff jump and our guide went back and was able to find it for us! The kayaking is at a nice pace so even though we have only kayaked once or twice we felt we were able to keep up with the group without problem. We had a car in Naxos so we met our guides at the beach which was just over an hour drive from the Chora area. We felt safe driving the entire time and just took the switchbacks slowly. I would highly recommend this tour! You will not be disappointed.

This kayaking (and swimming + jumping!) trip was amazing. The guides were very kind and helpful in ensuring we all had a great adventure. Rhina Cave was super interesting and beautiful - amazing blue water near the entrance, an err of mystery and historical significance given its where pirates hid their ships when attacking Naxos, and some pure fun mixed in with the opportunity to jump off the rock face around the cave as well.

Due to poor weather we had to move the tour to Apollonas but it was absolutely beautiful! The guides were soo informative and friendly and made sure we all had a wonderful time! They took pictures along the way to share with us and showed us some amazing private beaches. This was the perfect first tour to start off our honeymoon in Naxos!

We had great fun doing this activity. The instructors were great and we learnt a lot about the island. The group size is small and the tour is organised to beat the crowds to the cave so we had it all to ourselves.
