Enjoy these two emblematic white villages on this day trip to Nerja and Frigiliana
Frigilina is known as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, you will fall in love with this white-washed village. We will wonder around its narrow streets (walking tour) full of flowers pots and small shops. We will visit the old Fortress, refuge of the last Muslims, and now converted into a sugarcane molasses factory.
Next, we will go to Nerja. This old fishermen's village has become one of the most popular destinations within the province of Malaga. We will walk through its narrow downtown streets between boutiques and restaurants with the Sierra de Almijara as a backdrop, we will visit the famous Balcón de Europa and marvel at the incredible panoramic view of the sea.
Your tour to Nerja would not be complete without a visit to the magnificent Caves of Nerja, famous for the beauty of its interior, with stalactites and stalagmites, and for the magical cave paintings filled with history!

We started our day with the caves at 10 before the crowds. It is a self guided tour with audio if you scan a QR code on your way in. We missed it but still enjoyed what we saw. From here we went to Frigliana. A beautiful little town only minutes from the caves and well worth the visit. Thomas was our guide, showing us the town of Nerja and recommending a local restaurant for lunch, where we enjoyed eating typical specialties of the area. Our tour started and ended in Malaga. Door to door service with recommendations for more to see and places to eat in the area. Wonderful tour !

This was such a great experience. Peter, our driver, took us to the Caves of Nerja - stunning and different. He then took us to Frigiliana for a tour of this beautiful town. Then, to Nerja to see the Balcón de Europa. How beautiful the scenery of the coast. Leaves you in awe!!

Our tour guide Peter reminded us of an actor in one of our favorite shows, and he took us on a reality TV adventure! The Nerja Caves and other destinations around the city of Frigiliana and Nerja were beautiful, and we were pleased with our experience. As many know of Modern Family being an amazing show, why not have an as great display from Peter and his Malaga Tour! 5 stars with no doubts in our head.

Nerja is a beautiful little town located on the southern coast. As beautiful is Frigiliana, located alittle to the north of Nerja. Town is all white with beautiful views of the valley. Would definitely recommend both places when in Malaga!!

We hired Costa Excursions for this private trip. The reservation was done online and the process was easy. Thomas was our tour guide. He reached out the day before to make sure everything was in order before our trip. The next morning he came to pick us up at the apartment we were staying at. We first travelled to Nerja’s Cave and tickets were included. The cave visit took around 30-40 minutes. The formations in the cave are amazing! Following the cave visit, Thomas drove us to Frigiliana and guided us through the town. This white town is beautiful and worth the visit. Thomas was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating throughout the tour. He offered to take pictures of us and gave us the option of a private lunch but we invited him to join us. We had great conversation and truly enjoyed every minute of the trip. He gave us tips and recommendations of places to visit while in Malaga. We definitely will recommend Costa Excursions to anyone looking to do a private tour in Malaga.

This trip was absolutely perfect and our visit to the city of Nerja, Nerja Caves and the town of Frigiliana was outstanding. Our group was picked up at our hotel and our guides Peter and Miriam spoke perfect english. Peter was born in Malaga and went to college in the US. They spent time escorting us through the city of Nerja and Frigiliana explaining their history. The Nerja caves were absolutely amazing. The day was very relaxing and we were not rushed giving us time to shop and explore the surroundings. After walking us through Frigiliana, they showed us several restaurants where we were able to enjoy lunch before meeting our guides for the drive back to Malaga. During the drive back to Malaga, we asked about Alcazaba Fortress. Although, not part of the tour, they drove us up to the fortress area where we were able to see the outside of the fortress and a view of the city (Malaga) and the Mediterranean sea. Everyone in our small group were just overwhelmed by this tour and our friendly and well educated guides. If I ever get the chance to visit the Andalusia area of Spain, I will definitely seek out another tour led by Costa Excursions.
