Next, travel to Hakone and ride the Hakone Ropeway, offering beautiful views over the mountains and volcanic landscape.
Continue to Owakudani, where you can see steaming vents and try the famous black eggs cooked in hot springs.
After that, enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi in Hakone, surrounded by forests and mountains. On clear days, Mt. Fuji may appear in the distance.
Visit the peaceful Hakone Shrine, known for its red torii gate by the lake and quiet forest setting.
Your final stop is Odawara Castle, a historic Japanese castle

*If the schedule is delayed due to heavy traffic, the visit to Hakone Shrine and Odawara Castle may be shortened or omitted.

4.00This is a nice way to spend the day in the Hakone area. Would advise to start with the boat trip first then rope way, funicular and train. Opposite of most people.
Great tour guide. Tour itself was not that exciting.

3.00The tour guide was great. She gave us a lot of information and was entertaining. The tour itself was lacking excitement. It was just a short cruise on a lake, cable car ride with very limited views (windows were a bit scuffed and hard to see through) , stop at the place for black eggs then a very long stop at some shopping area which is targeted to western tourists. I don’t recommend this unless you enjoy shopping.

5.00Thus was a nice one day tour to Hakone and the ropeway to view Mount Fuji. We did get a glimpse of the magestic Mt. Fuji. The guide was excellent.

4.00The tour was great and everything in the itinerary was accomolished. I just wish there is a signbord or someone carrying a sign at the meeting point about which bus to go to coz a lot of us where quite confused and had to ask every single bus driver or rep if it was our bus.

1.00The operator did not show up and trip did not happen. It costed me money and wasted my day. Viator is not very forthcoming in case of refund. The customer service though reachable all the time, get you in the loop of asking from operator and then keep you waiting. I'm now waiting to get my money back. I can only hope that they refund the money

5.00We spent our last full day in Japan on this Hakone Day Tour and it may have been the highlight of the trip! The cruise on Lake Ashi was very scenic and enjoyable. Then, visiting the volcano via the cable car was so cool! The view was amazing and afterwards we were able to get black ramen and it was delicious. The tour concluded with a trip to a mall where you could either go shopping or go to a hot spring. Since I have many tattoos, my wife and I booked a private room for an hour and it was great! Very affordable and the outdoor view was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour!

5.00Everything very well organized. Our guide emigrated from Hong Kong and joined the tour with all his heart. Could answer all the questions. Definitely try the black eggs and the black vanilla ice cream. At the end of the tour you can decide whether you want to go to the big outlet or test the hot springs. There are also two options the old sources for 500¥ or the new ones for 1900¥. I would recommend the hot springs. Walked through the outlet for a while later as we still had time. Made the right choice.
