5.00We had a wonderful time touring all of the historic sites in Newport. Our guide is a native who was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the history and residents of the city. He also gave great tips on sites to explore more deeply during our visit. I couldn't recommend this activity more!

5.00The guide was perfect. Because he grew up in the area he had great stories about the area and the people, and because he was a retired history teacher he knew how to keep our attention. Highly recommend this tour for all ages. Time and money well spent learning about Newport history, many of the homes and areas, not just the mansions, and lots of laughs.

5.00This tour was one of the best I ever went on. The driver was so informative and friendly. He said he grew up here and still lives here so he gave a personal touch to the tour. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the area and also the history of a lot of the mansions. The tour exceeded our expectstions.

5.00Dont Google "Newport Gateway Center" when you're looking for the pickup location. It will direct you to Bowens Wharf. The pickup location is where all the busses are, near the aquarium. Even a lifelong Rhode Islander will learn something on this tour. I've been to Newport dozens of times but never knew about the stories beyond the gates and walls. Ray does a great job explaining the landmarks and the history behind them.
