We have a couple of great locations for our Kayak Tours dependant on the conditions of the day.

We will either head to the infamous Newquay Beach, Towan or head to a more sheltered water area known as The Gannel. The location will be communicated to you on the day of the activity. You will still meet us at our base in Newquay for both locations.

What To Expect

Want to explore Newquay in a unique way? Our Kayaking Tours offer an exciting journey around the stunning coastal regions of Newquay. Our experienced instructors will provide you with the basics of kayaking, so even if you have no knowledge or experience prior, you'll be able to smoothly navigate your way along the cliffs, marine life and get as close to nature as possible. Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by the Cornish Wave team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your Newquay kayaking experience. From explaining, how to manage the kayaking, to mini games, to touring the area, this super fun session will get the whole gang involved! This session will take place in water that is out of your depth, so you will need to be able to swim to take part. WE ALSO OFFER SURFING LESSONS, COASTEERING, GIANT SUP AND SURF HIRE. Fabulous sea kayaking adventure with our guide Sarah! Two adults and my daughter who was 8 years old at the time. She came in a kayak with me whilst we explored caves and learnt about local legends of the coast. Sarah was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and learnt a lot! I felt safe the whole time and was reassured by Sarah’s expertise that we were in good hands. Thank you for a fantastic experience which made our holiday 😊

Willow was such a fantastic instructor, he was very thorough with the explanation about the kayak and also the scenery. The experience once on the water was amazing I really can’t wait to do it again, even buying my own kayak. Thank you everyone you are all great. I was even late due to parking and willow waited for me. I’m so glad you did thank you willow
