What To Expect
Ngong Ping 360
Ngong Ping Cable Car is a visually spectacular 5.7km bi-cable ropeway. The first of its kind in Hong Kong, the cable car journey begins from Tung Chung, crossing Tung Chung Bay to reach the angle station on Airport Island and turning about 60 degrees in the air towards North Lantau. If you are looking for something to complete your Hong Kong attractions list, you should definitely enjoy some of the stunning views offered on this joyful 25-minute ride: the vistas of the distant and vast South China Sea and the rolling grassland slopes of North Lantau Country Park from the cable car slowly take over from the hustle and bustle of the city. The journey also offers a breathtaking panorama of the Hong Kong International Airport, the mountainous terrain of Lantau Island, Tian Tan Buddha and 360-degree views of Ngong Ping Plateau, and the HKZM Bridge, which is the world's longest sea-crossing bridge.

Great Experience, Lots of Queues!

4.00The cable car itself was a great experience and I would highly recommend it on that basis. The only downside was the endless queueing, I didn’t expect to have to spend so much time in queues given I had already booked tickets. I don’t remember an express or queue jump ticket being available for purchase but would absolutely have bought this if it was an option. To add, we did this on a weekday so I dread to think what the queues are like on a weekend. The experience itself was still amazing however and we got plenty of great photos.

1.00The experience was fantastic. Viator was awful. Presented tickets and was told my tickets were not valid. Had to purchase tickets at the gate. 4 tickets were $30 less. Explained situation to Viator. Would not refund. Shame on them!

5.00This is a must experience when you visit Hong Kong . Cheaper to buy your tickets onsite. We visited around 11 am and was busy but the queue moved fairly quickly where we waited around 15 minutes. Shorter queues if you go for the glass bottom cable car but it’s more expensive. Great way to travel to see the Buddha .

2.00The cable car is very poorly organized, we waited 1:45 to get on the cable car to the aisle and for the return there was the double queue. we had to take the bus and so we did not use our return tickets. However, once in the cable car, the trip is very pleasant.

5.00Beautiful serene ride . I suggest you book the crystal cabin so beneath your feet is glass. Amazing experience. Buddha and shine are must sees. Unfortunately Wisdom Path is closed for Reno’s.

5.00The ride is around 25 minutes, but I could've stayed up there for hours. I chose the glass cabin, which is amazing. What waits at the end, the Buddha, the Monastery, the village. I appreciate the service and I'll remember it forever.

5.00I went at 9am on Sunday (and I think it’s opens at 10am other days but no one knew). Pre bought crystal cabin tickets and walked STRAIGHT on without waiting either way. On the return I HAD MY OWN CAR!! I even had time to climb to the Buddha and explored a bit before the sweltering heat set in. Go early and prebook! You will thank me!! I did not have the same luck with Victoria Peak later in the day, so I enjoyed this soooooo much more than the Peak Tram which was chaos. I LOVED the 360 cable car for its views and the value of the trip due to the length of the ride! It’s very long and fully worth it!!
