This night skiing tour takes you into the Arctic wilderness after dark, when the landscapes of Ylläs become completely silent and transformed. Under the night sky, you ski through forests and across a frozen lake, far from any artificial lights or crowds.
With only the sound of your skis on snow, the experience feels calm, immersive, and almost surreal. Depending on conditions, the night sky may reveal stars or even the Northern Lights, adding a unique atmosphere to the journey.
Midway through the tour, we take a break in a traditional kota, where we light a fire, warm up, and enjoy a hot drink in the middle of the forest.
This is a rare opportunity to experience Lapland in its most peaceful and atmospheric form, moving through nature when it feels completely untouched.

What To Expect
Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park
During this night skiing tour, we start in the forest as darkness settles over the Ylläs region. Once equipped, we move into quiet trails surrounded by snow-covered trees and complete silence. We gradually make our way deeper into the wilderness, skiing through gentle terrain where the only light comes from the snow and the sky. Depending on conditions, we may pause to observe the night sky and, if we are lucky, the Northern Lights. Midway through the tour, we take a break in a traditional forest shelter to rest and warm up before continuing through peaceful snowy landscapes. The return follows soft forest terrain, offering a calm and atmospheric end to the experience.

5.00Super recommended experience. Kevin is the best guide: attentive, careful and fun. Despite the cold we had a great time and were very lucky to see auroras. You certainly have to do this at least once in your life!!

5.00Super activity, moment suspended skiing in the dark forest and hear only the sound of snow under our feet. We had the chance to see beautiful dawns in the starry sky. Magic. Nice moment also around a fire toast sausages. It has nothing to do with day walks and the atmosphere of the forest at night is definitely worth it. And Kevin is a great guide, nice, cheerful, who puts confidence. He gave me tips for skiing (1st time in ski touring), which allowed me not to fall once;) and lots of interesting info about Finland, the dawn etc. I was alone on the tour and I find it really very professional not to cancel the tour. 10/10!

5.00We had this experience during our vacation and it was simply fantastic. Skiing through the forest and across the frozen lake at night, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, was truly magical. During the excursion, we had the chance to warm up in a traditional kota, enjoying hot sausages and tea. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, which made the evening even more unforgettable. Our guide, Kevin, was very kind and helpful, contributing to a perfect experience.
