This experience was really incredible! Our guide, Talaat, was a charming guy with a good sense of humor. He explained everything about all of the sites to us and answered all of our questions. He was flexible about time spent at each location and always checked in with us about how long we wanted to stay at each place. He was very communicative about transportation timing, pickups and drop offs, and information about ancient (and modern) Egyptian culture. I especially appreciated how he gave us advice about the appropriate prices to pay for items, how to get water before entering the ship (for a fair price), and how to carry yourself with Egyptian salespeople outside of tourist areas. He organized the tips for the cruise staff as well as the tickets for the historical sites beforehand with us, which made it easy during the trip. He seemed to know almost everyone wherever we went, which made us feel very comfortable. He also helped us book a boat trip to a Nubian village from Aswan, which I would definitely recommend! We got to swim in the Nile near the Nubian village which was super refreshing. As for the ship, (Queen of Sheeba) it was comfortable with clean rooms, and the food was better than we were expecting for buffet style food. Drinks and water are not included, but you can buy these at markets near the docking stations (ask Talaat!). All of the staff on the ship was super friendly and always smiling and greeting you. There was a slight issue with our air conditioning on the last night we were there, but this had nothing to do with our tour guide and was more just about the ship itself. Anyway, nothing could stop us from enjoying this magical journey through time via the majestic ruins and picturesque nile river. Pictures do not do these places any justice and I am sure you will realize this when you book this experience. If you are reading this and trying to decide where to book, look no further, you found a good one! And at a good price as well! Again, thank you Talaat for all of your help! Until next time!

Our boat was Jewel of the Nile, the boat was in good conditions (june 2025), rooms are fine with view to the nile, did not felt any loud noise or bad smell, buffet looked good with several options (meals are done in 1h or 1h30), drinks not included but around 60EGP a soft drink. Pool zone had several sunbeds and some shade with regular chairs, the floor is with fake grass, soft and not hot. We were 30-40 persons in the boat, several groups splitted by travel agency / operator. What happened to us, was that just the two of us and other two persons bought through holaegypt and so it was different from the other groups inside the cruise. The other groups had always the same guide throughout the days since the first day. It was good because they had some previous insights about the temples, about what was going to happen the next day, how to deal with the tip requests inside the boat and were always available to clarify any doubts. In our case every day was a different guide to take us to the temples. I think they sell the tours to other agencies so every day you will get a new guide outside the boat, some good some not that good. Usually the guide from the day told us what time to be ready for the next day and to be at the reception that the new guide would show up. The good thing was the punctuality of the guides. Every single one was there at the schedulled time. We had 5 different guides, some very bad but unfortunately we did not remember their names. The transfers were also good, with air conditioning. The breakfast to the go is dry bread and a juice (if you can, buy near the aswan harbor, < 5 min walking, some snacks/yogurts in the supermarket). The visits to the temples and etc will always be like 1h max in the site itself, the remaining are the transfer like Abu Simbel is 2h30 away from the boat. Entrances were bought in the temples and were fast and organized, you can buy online (qr code in the tickets zone) for same price and get a digital ticket. Every time they will suggest to give a tip, to driver, boat driver, van driver, horse driver...

We had an amazing experience with our fluent- speaking English tour guide Micheal. It was nice to travel within a group of around 12 people in which we got to know each other some fellow travellers as well, since there is enough time to get to know each other. Michael welcomed us at the boat, in which we got welcomed and guided us through the following 4 days in which he explained a lot about Egypt, the tempels and places we visited. He really did his best to make it as best as possible for us as travellers in an unknown destination. The only reason for not giving the entire experience a 5- star has to deal with Edfu Temple. The time we had left there was way too minimal (10 minutes to explore the entire temple on our own). This was not Michaels fault, but it was part of the overall experience we got. Also to get there, normally there is a car, unfortunately this time there was no car and people got transported in horse carriages (which we are against too since the horses do not seem to be in a good shape). Michael understood our point of view and got us transported into a TukTuk to the Edfu Temple. After the 4 days you are tired, since a lot of places are being visited. While everything is arranged for you, the day start early and end late in which you visit and explore a lot (and in some parts you are part of the insufficient Egyptian flow (which takes time). Nevertheless, if you have Michael as your tourguide, you will have an amazing adventure to explore in Egypt!

We had a fantastic trip and all the places we visited were absolutely wonderful. Each one was full of history, beauty and unforgettable moments. A special mention goes to our guide and egyptologist Michael. From the very first day he proved to be incredibly knowledgeable and deeply passionate about Egypt’s history. We always felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire journey. He was not only a great guide but also a genuinely kind and funny person, and we truly enjoyed spending time with him during the trip. One thing we really appreciated was how easy and transparent everything was. For those who preferred it, Michael offered the option to pay him in advance for all the site entrances. He handled everything with full transparency and bought the tickets for the group, which made the whole experience smoother and more enjoyable. For us cruises are always a great way to explore multiple sites without having to worry about transportation, where to eat or organizing a schedule. It’s a perfect choice when you want to take a break from planning and just enjoy the moment. This experience exceeded our expectations and Michael played a big part in making it so memorable. We highly recommend this cruise experience and our guide Michael.
