In the morning we drive through Hajar Mountains via Fanja and Sumail. Then reach the township of Nizwa, the ancient capital. You will visit Nizwa Fort one of the most fascinating forts among forts included in Muscat tours .the Fort Dates back to the year 1660 and explore the traditional Souq. You will then enjoy a delicious traditional meal. After lunch you travel to the village of Bahla with its Famous tradition of pottery, magic and weaving. Continuing on to Jebrin Castle, this dates back to the year 1670. Jebrin Castle was a learning center for the study of Islamic Law, History, Arabic, Medicine and Astrology. The tour is very inspiring and recommended during having Oman Day Tours .

This review is inly for Jabrin fort. We had an audio guide, but it was confusing so we gave it up after 3-4 "stops" . This fort was a little confusing, but still nice.

We booked the fort tour at very short notice. The web site used an online chat function which was very efficient. We paid using PayPal. The driver was very punctual, had solid English knowledge but clearly was a driver not a guide. He did help us shop for 🍯 and dates at the Souk. We had sufficient time at each stop. Excellent lunch in a very nondescript place along the road, fresh and authentic food. A really great day out and worth the considerable price. With hindsight, the road to the forts is excellent and can easily be done with a rental car, no 4x4 needed.
