Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Muscat toward the historic city of Nizwa, once the capital of Oman. Along the way, enjoy views of small mountain villages and date palm farms.
Nizwa Souq
At Nizwa Souq, travelers can wander through one of Oman’s oldest and most vibrant markets, full of traditional charm and local life. The souq is famous for its silver jewelry, handmade daggers (khanjars), pottery, spices, and dates. Visitors can: Explore local crafts — watch artisans shaping pottery or engraving silver. Shop for souvenirs — from colorful fabrics and incense to handwoven baskets and Omani perfumes. Taste Omani flavors — sample local dates, halwa (Omani sweets), and strong Arabic coffee. 5.00I found this tour to be fantastic. The tour is a full day covering multiple spots around Nizwa and the mountains. Whether you are a history buff, outdoorsman, or foodie I think there is something you will enjoy on this tour. Said is also a true gem. He can answer any questions you have about Oman, and keeps the energy and positivity going for the entire trip. Said is also very organized and keeps in contact with you leading up to the trip, so you can be confident the tour will run as planned. In hindsight I can’t imagine taking this trip with any other organizer. It was certainly the highlight of my entire trip to Oman!

5.00A full day tour introducing us not only to ancient Omani capital cities at the base of the majestic Al Hajar Mountains, but providing equally wonderful glimpses of everyday life in the 21st century as well. A highlight was certainly the date market in Nizwa's beautiful old town, but equally impressive were the mud-clad Bahra fort and the stunningly beautiful Jabreen Castle, one of Oman's greatest castles. Thank you very much, @Said, for guiding us expertedly on the day, we really enjoyed travelling with you - a highly recommendable fullday tour!

5.00A great trip to forts and castle with Said who also showed us the beauty of the surroundings of Nizwa and Jabreen Castle. Also the old market with its own date hall were very interesting. You could try all kinds! A long day, but it was worth it. Thanks Said!!

5.00Said is a perfect guide who is very responsive to the wishes of the participants and really answers all questions. Nizwa offers a lot of impressive things and we are still on the second highest mountain Jebel Akhdar, highly recommended. I can recommend Said 100%.
