What To Expect
The night walk at 6pm or 8pm. Takes from 1.5 to 2 hours. We’ll be walking on some trails using flashlights looking for the nocturnal creatures. We have chances to see frogs, snakes, insects, plants and many other things. So the idea is to find them, share some info and take some pictures.

5.00Amazing tour! We got the chance to see a lot of different species of frogs, toads, snakes, insects and spiders. Papa's place is a large and beautiful domain with multiple trails you can explore. Ignacio was very knowledgeable and takes beautiful pictures :)

5.00The tours are very small and personalized, just our family. Our guide, Ignacio, was very knowledgeable, engaged and patient. He clearly loves sharing his knowledge with you. This is a tour about small creatures, spiders, frogs, snakes, insects and lizards. Ignacio took fabulous pictures which he shared with us. My husband and I (73) took walking sticks, not because it is strenuous, but to aid balance on the rocky terrain at night. Highly recommend!

5.00A truly special and authentic experience. The night walk depends entirely on nature - nothing is guaranteed, and that's what makes it so real! Ignaicio was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. He spoke excellent English, and welcomed all questions. The tour takes place in a private land, which is clearly a labor of love, created by Costa Rican nature lovers to protect the wildlife that already lives there! You can feel the care put into every detail. While on the tour, they take photos of what you encounter and share with the group! If there's other animals in the area, they will also take you to see them. We saw an active sloth!! Papa's Place is perfect for anyone who wants to support local businesses, learn from passionate natives, and experience Costa Rica's nocturnal wildlife in a respectful way. Highly recommend!! 10/10 (We loved it so much we went back for a birding tour with Ignacio and saw 44 different species! Truly a special and unforgettable experience!!)

5.00My fiancé and I really enjoyed our tour with Ignacio. A cool way to spend a night out in La Fortuna for sure. Not only was he super knowledgeable and passionate about learning about wildlife here in Costa Rica, he had special tools within him that allowed us to zoom in on animals like a sloth and a viper that were located far up in the trees. He took really cool pictures for us of the wildlife we found and shared it with us at the end of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who’s on the fence.

5.00Ignacio was an amazing tour guide and recommend this tour for any one with a passion for wildlife. Ignacio was very knowledgeable of the habitat and all of the wildlife in the area. We saw many different varieties of frogs, lizards, bugs, plants, and a saw a viper. I could have done this all night long learning about the wildlife and seeing so many interesting creatures during this tour. I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area.
