We chose this tour because it offered different locations than the others and we knew we would want to go to the D-Day Museum on our own time, so this was perfect. We especially loved the visit to St Mere Eglise and the stories about the paratroopers. There was so much to take in, even if you know the history well. Our guide Charles was exceptional! Knowledgeable, engaging, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. Truly an incredible day out! We will be recommending this specific tour & Bayeux Shuttle, as a company, to anyone we can.

Tour guides were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable and pointed out things and historical events that you would never know trying to see these sights on your own, and I’m pretty well read on D-Day. It was a full day tour and it was great, however there is limited time at some stops. I went back to some places on my own the next day. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Pierre-Alexandre ROUSSEL was a great guide and his knowledge on the history was excellent. He was also patient in explaining the details and he is a great guide. Strongly recommend him.

It was an amazing experience. The three guides were very friendly and very knowledgeable about D-Day in detail. They speak English fluently. You can ask them anything you want—they know everything. They guide you through the different locations where the D-Day landings took place. You have enough time to explore. You get a great overview of that day and learn that the only thing war can bring is absolute disaster.

The day was perfect - sunny windy but not rainy! We had what turned out to be a private tour with Fred who is AMAZING. The company was Bayeux Shuttle. He picked us up at the appointed place not far from our Airbnb and drove us from 845-5 pm and during the entire time- shared his passion and knowledge of WW2 and DDay. He was probably one of the best tour guides we have had traveling different countries. He was very patient with our questions, so knowledgeable, and his stories and way he shared - one could almost re-create scenes in mind. He made sure we had ample time at each place both with and without him for some private time. We happened to discover that we have a personal connection through our favorite hardware store in Phoenix! Overall - truly outstanding and we thank him for an unforgettable day. Not sure if you can request Fred, but I highly recommend trying to!

I had the pleasure of being guided around the Normandy WWII sites by Charles and Marguerite. They were incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Honestly the hardest part for me was wondering how I was going to remember all the fascinating things I learned from them. I liked very much that they gave me some private time at each of the critical sites (Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach) and I took advantage to stroll around slowly and take in the significance of the history. Very moving. Charles, who was driving, also stopped at several points between the main sites to point out small details of the area, and what happened on June 6th 1944, that added to the experience. It was a wonderful tour and I would heartily recommend Charles and Marguerite as guides on this very important and valuable tour of a moment in history.

Excellent tour. Fred, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the complexity and gravity of DDay and the Normandy campaign. We felt lucky to have such an experienced, and sensitive guide for a long and emotional trip through the beaches, museum, and cemetery that are the highlights of the tour.
