Our North Beach Walking Tour begins at Washington Square Park, the city’s first public park, where you’ll learn the surprising role it played after the 1906 earthquake and fire. Admire the vintage lampposts and Coit Tower in the distance. Step inside Saints Peter and Paul Church to see its Italian marble altar and hear about its connection to Joe DiMaggio.
You’ll also enjoy views of Lombard Street, the Golden Gate Bridge, and hidden gems your guide has in store for you as you walk the colorful streets of SF’s “Little Italy.”
After a visit to Pier 39 — adorably overrun with sea lions — your guide will walk you to your cruise departing for Alcatraz. Once there, you can tour the prison with your included audio guide, admire the gardens, and visit the many exhibits. Return at your leisure.
If you’ve selected one or both of our upgrades, there’s more fun in store. See it all from 150 feet up on the SkyStar Wheel or cruise the bay for sweeping skyline and nature views.

5.00Alcatraz is really interesting. It's a lot of walking, lots of up and down, but it's worth it. I almost didn't go to the 'industrial' area, but the displays inside were great. They don't have food there, I got some on the ferry. The walking tour of Fisherman's Wharf was fun. There's so much to see, and the history was fascinating.

5.00Our guide Jamie was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly and interesting to be with. The tour was on our first morning in SF and really helped to set the scene for our stay. Alcatraz was fascinating, as was the bay cruise. The whole thing turned out to be a full day. Well worth doing this tour. Recommended.

5.00Charlene our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us on a fabulous walking tour before our trip to Alcatraz. Very interesting to hear some history of the wharf and some family owned businesses. Had been to San Francisco twice before but not to Alcatraz. Glad we put it on the list this time. Probably only need about 70-90 mins on the island. Cruise was worth the addition to as it was a beautiful clear day.
