Welcome, Greenlander welcomes you on the most adventurous Northern Lights chase in the Northern Norway. You will be guided by a pro photographer (see proof from our Instagram or Facebook page,) who will safely take you around the perimeter on a 4x4 modified Mercedes Benz minivan.

The tour consists central pickup, home made soup, hot drinks, tripods, thermal suit, boots, campfire(if conditions allow,) Aurora portraits and so much more.

Greenlander has a reputation of not giving up and therefore having one of the highest success rates in the business, around 95%-98% chance of catching the elusive Northern Lights. Please consider, the weather can be harsh and sometimes we have to chase for hours, before we can even see first stars. This tour might not suit for elder, obese and unfit participants, as sometimes we hike in a snow and our minivan is rather compact compared to bigger buses used by other companies.

I took a Northern Lights tour with Markus some time ago (I forgot to leave a review then) and it has been absolutely fantastic. We were a small group and what made a difference was Markus' passion for the Northern Lights: even when all other tours had already gone back to Tromsø we kept on going and going further inland (even into Finland) as he was excited about the solar activity that evening, and wasn't going to let a cloudy sky stop us from seeing the lights. Eventually we saw some faint aurora between the clouds, so after watching for a few minutes Markus decided to keep on going to find a clearer sky. And boy did we find it! Incredible display of lights, just for us in the middle of nowhere. He took pictures from us and let us stay there all the time we wanted. And when we were going back, another show! We stopped again and stayed another good while watching and taking pictures. We finally got back to Tromsø around 4 am or something. He then shared all the pictures with us, which were of course much better than ours as he had a great camera and a tripod. Overall, it was totally worth it and I would wholeheartedly recommend booking with him especially, as his passion made the difference.

An unforgettable Northern Lights experience in Tromsø. Arbo was knowledgeable and patient, finding the perfect spots to see the aurora. Watching the lights dance across the sky was magical, and the best patt was the photography from Arbo were excellent—beautifully captured and true to what we saw. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tromsø.

Arbo is a fantastic guide and an amazingly skilled photographer! We had such an enjoyable time with the reindeer soups, hot chocolate,fire and am super impressed at his photographer skills.Thr backdrop and being on the frozen lake was super cool. We will treasure these photos so much and highly recommend this tour.

Had an amazing time chasing the northern lights with Arbo. Going with a smaller tour was perfect as we were much more flexible in the routes we could take. We ended up all the way in Finland, and saw the most beautiful northern lights. Even Arbo got excited about them, and too some great photos for our group.

At the beginning, we were unlucky and caught in a snowstorm. However, our guide Hans found the best place to camp by a lake, next to a small house. He even built a protective snow wall around the campfire to block the wind — his skills were truly impressive! He prepared delicious food for us, along with hot chocolate and cookies, which made the experience very cozy. As the weather gradually cleared, Hans carefully chose the best possible location. When we stepped out of the vehicle, we were greeted by a sky full of stars. The aurora grew stronger over time. Although it did not fully “explode” and appeared mostly white to the naked eye, it was visible through the camera. She was beautiful with the starry sky and Geminids shooting star. Throughout the entire trip, Hans paid close attention to everyone’s needs. He was extremely experienced responsible, warm, and enthusiastic, and went into the forest to capture breathtaking photos of the aurora and surrounding nature.

Arbo, our guide was really passionate and knowledgeable about the Northern Lights and he brought us to a wonderful location where we could witness the lights in all of its beauty. He took time to make sure we were dressed appropriately and took really wonderful photos which made for a good momento for the trip. Even though we had seen a wonderful display and were supposed to head back, he had an alert of another display and drove us to witness another wonderful display of the lights.

The pickup was really quick and smooth, which set a great tone for the evening. I loved the small group size — it made the whole experience feel cosy and personal rather than rushed or crowded. Our guide, Markus, was incredibly experienced and knowledgeable. The skies were clear and the aurora activity started early that night, so we set off promptly to chase the lights. We were lucky to witness very strong aurora activity — the highest level on the day we went — and it was absolutely magical. Markus help us capture amazing photos, both of the Northern Lights and of us with the lights. Thermal suits were provided, which were extremely helpful, especially when the wind picked up. Markus set up a campfire swiftly and gave us some hot chocolate and delicious cookies to enjoy under the wonderful night skies. Highly recommend Greenlander Northern Lights tour for a well-organised, comfortable, and truly memorable aurora-chasing experience.

I went on two chases with Hans and both were amazing experiences. The first night we found an incredible display of vivid and long lasting lights. Han was informative and friendly throughout, and his passion for finding the best lights possible really shines through. The pictures he shared afterward were spectacular, and provided lots of photographic advice to those with cameras. On our second night he was dedicated to finding us lights despite the clouds, taking us all the way to Finland where against the odds we were able to see some lights peaking through the clouds. Definitely recommend, a once in a lifetime experience!

We had a really great experience with Arbo. He is experienced and skilled at finding the best spots for viewing the aurora, and thanks to him we were lucky enough to find a perfect location where we saw the most amazing aurora coronas one could ever ask for. We absolutely loved it. After the trip, he shared his photos with us—they were so stunning and beautiful that I was speechless. The photos of both the people and the auroras were incredible.
