Not a single meeting with the Northern Lights is like another. Each time the lights change colors and start new dance. Their main hue is green, but it can be purple, pink, red and blue, depending on their strength and atmospheric conditions. Aurora Borealis is a mystical unpredictable and beautiful phenomenon that suddenly appears and disappears in the same way.

We went on a Northern Lights tour on a night when the KP index was only around 3, and the sky was pretty cloudy. Honestly, we were worried the whole trip would get canceled. But our guide messaged us saying the tour was still on, so we decided to take a chance. There were about 12 of us on the Benz van, and our driver was super friendly and talkative. He shared stories, tips about chasing the aurora, and kept everyone in good spirits. You could tell he really wanted us to stay hopeful and not get bored during the long drive. After almost two hours heading south, he brought us to a dark valley with no lights at all. And that’s where I saw the Northern Lights for the very first time. With my eyes, it looked faint — but when I pointed my phone at the sky, I was shocked. Bright green light started to appear, slowly moving and dancing. It was such a magical moment. I got photos I’m really happy with, and the driver even set up his camera to take professional shots for everyone. He kept encouraging us to step into the frame so we wouldn’t miss the chance. We tried another spot afterward but didn’t see anything there — I guess that’s just how nature is sometimes. Still, I’m really satisfied with what we saw and very grateful for the driver’s effort and energy. It turned out to be a night I’ll never forget!

One of the best nights of my life, a truly unforgettable, amazing, and wonderful experience! We felt so lucky to see the beautiful northern lights painting the sky with vibrant colors (KPI 4). Thanks to our guide, Elena and Ed, they were fantastic—knew exactly where to go, helped with unlimited photography, and kept us warm. The professional photos we got were incredible souvenirs for our Alaska trip. Highly recommend!!

Thank you so much to our guide, she was so kind and patient with all of us. I highly recommend this tour because you get a great spot to view the lights away from the crowds, snacks, hand warmers etc. They take good care of you. Thank you so so much and I will recommend this tour to my friends if they ever come.

I cannot imagine a better tour guide. Elena had so much knowledge and enthusiasm and lead us to see the best show of lights. I am now reluctant to go on another lights tour because any other would be anticlimactic. The pictures she emails that she takes of our tour are superior to mine.

Arctic Night Tours was incredible! The guides were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping us see the Northern Lights. They took us to the best viewing spots, kept checking the sky conditions, and even helped us capture amazing photos. The whole experience felt safe, well-organized, and unforgettable. I’d highly recommend them to anyone visiting Alaska — truly a five-star aurora adventure! 🌌✨

They are truly professional at chasing the aurora. They know all the best spots — wide open, completely dark, with a full view of the sky. We ended up seeing the aurora three times in one night, and it was absolutely stunning. The lights were dancing across the entire sky like a real show. When clouds moved in, they quickly switched to a different location. They also take great photos — really professional. I heard that on the same night, another tour, not their groups, stayed by a lake just 15 minutes from the hotel for three hours and only saw a faint aurora for about five minutes. Choosing a good tour makes all the difference. Trust them — you won’t regret it!
