What To Expect
Troms
Travel to the spots with the clearest sky, have a photographer take professional pictures of you and the Northern Lights, and share a good time by the bonfire with a warm meal and hot beverages. We also have thermal suits and boots to keep you warm!

Chasing the Phenomenal Colours with the best guide ever!

5.00For 15 years i have been trying to chase the Aurora B without any luck and so Tromso was the final straw before we move away to another continent. The day started with snow and rain and looked so overcast with clouds that i felt upset and disappointed. By the time we embarked on the chase, i prayed really hard for the skies to clear and heavens to open. Max our guide was not only amazing but so enthusiastic and fantastic at what he does. He not only ensured that we chased the skies to the maximum but also wanted to find a spot where could be special for us to have a campfire and some food and lovely drinks. We finally got to see it after chasing it for over 5 hours and while freezing, it was such a beautiful sight. I have been with many other tours which give up easily but not Max so i am eternally grateful for his extensive knowledge that he willing shares, skills to take the best photographs for us as souvenirs but also keep us posted during the journey. Chasing the lights requires many things such as weather, conditions but also luck and we are so lucky for that day! I cannot highly recommend Max and Bart the driver for also keeping us safe from any skits and ditches in the snow. Thank you Max and Bart for all your have done on 09.02 - one we will all remember for a lifetime. XXX Ask for Max on Northern Horizon and hopefully whoever you are will not be disappointed and get to see the Northern lights! :)

5.00Harry and Northern Horizon looked after us very well. We chased the Northern Lights saw them. Harry was very enthusiastic , knowleable, and organised. Loved the experience. Would thoughly recommend Harry and Northern Horizon to anybody.

5.00I went three nights, two with Harry and one with Max. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They were super attentive and knowledgeable, you could tell they were so passionate about what they do and about giving us a great experience. They tried so hard even in tricky nights to get us to see the lights, always with a smile, and keeping us updated all throughout. Overall it is a great tour, incredible guides and super well organised, can definitely recommend it!

5.00Max was phenomenal! He truly chased the skies to find a gap to see the northern lights. Miracle worker trying to find a gap in the clouds on a night with low solar activity. We managed to see the solar lights in 3 different spots. With different tour guides we had only ever gone to one and waited there for the lights. This was a true chase and Max was amazing! Raphael was an amazing driver which allowed Max to constantly monitor the clouds and solar activity - a true partnership.
If there is no Northern Lights why waste my time and lie about it

1.00If there is no chance of Northern Lights why do you go anyway. I would have liked the option of backing out rather than waste 7 hours in the freezing cold pursuing a fruitless adventure. I suspected from the start that there was no chance from the tone of our guides voice and that she would not look us in the eye. I realize that there is no guarantees but with modern technology available my only guarantee wasting my time so as to fulfill the money taken.

5.00We were Lucky enough to randomly pick these guys. What an experience. If you plan on booking a guided trip look no longer, ask for Harry and enjoy. After 7 years he arguably might still get more excited than you seeing the aurora. All jokes aside, an absolute no brainer to go with these guides.

5.00We've been lucky to have clear sky after two days of snowing in Tromso. So, we didn't have to go far to see the beautiful aurora. It was our first aurora experience. So spectacular though. Hot drinks and reindeer suasages was a nice addition. We loved it and we would like to come back.

5.00This was a wonderful evening. Harry and Martin did a fantastic job guiding us to various locations to give us the best views of the aurora. We were lucky enough to see a variety of forms of the lights, and we learned lots about the science and cultural history of the aurora. There was a cozy campfire, beautiful nature, hot chocolate and reindeer sausage. Harry also took plenty of beautiful photos for us! We had a great time and I cannot recommend this tour enough!

5.00Our guide Harry was so excited to share his passion for Astronomy and the science behind the Aurora Borealis. We learned so much and came away with some insanely beautiful photos he took of us. Harry is very gifted and we felt so lucky having him capture our memories on film.

5.00We had a great time with Max, it was the greatest geomagnetic storm in 20 years and he found us the right spot for it. We stayed there for hours and max just kept taking photos of us with the lights and the lights itself. The pictures were gorgeous and he being a photographer and geologist, did his job really well by explaining the northern lights to us in specific details, and giving us interesting tidbits, he was also so amazed at the lights itself which actually really added to the experience, we were all so excited as well. The sausages we were fed were awesome and every service was available including hot chocolate. Peter the driver was awesome as well, helped us get into our thermal suits and drove us to the right spot quickly as there were others trying to get to the spot as well. Our friends recommended this tour because max went all out to get them to see the northern lights. All in all 100/10 highly recommended, it was an experience of a lifetime
