We had a wonderful morning with Valeria! We did not only taste some of the most delicious food that we could definitely not find ourselves, but we also learnt a lot for the city’s culture and history. It was a fantastic and highly recommended experience! Muchas gracias Valeria!

This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Oaxaca after hearing so many good reviews and we are so glad we did. Gregorio was an amazing guide. We went from food cart to market to stand and everything was amazing. We are so much and were taken care of so well. Everything was included in the cost, including some water and coins for the bathrooms. We are so much and it was all delicious. It was a great first stop. As we only know limited Spanish this really gave us a good lay of the land and to know what to order the rest os the week.

We loved the tour. Our guide Valeria was super friendly and knowledgeable and seemed to have a great relationship with all the vendors we visited. The food was all excellent and included some stalls / dishes we would never have found ourselves, and we were very full by the end. Would thoroughly recommend!

Honestly, this tour was so good. Like, one of those experiences you don’t realize you needed until you’re in it. It felt like the perfect way to really get to know Oaxaca through its food, which feels very on-brand for the city. Valeria, our host, was amazing and you could tell right away how much she loves and knows about Oaxaca. She shared so much about the food, the neighborhoods, the history, and even little details about the people and everyday life that made everything feel more personal and real. It never felt rushed or scripted—just super natural and easy to follow along. And the food… wow. Every stop felt really thoughtfully chosen, and the dishes were honestly incredible. Like, some of the best things I ate in Oaxaca came from this tour, which I did not expect from food stalls. Everything was full of flavor and felt really authentic—no touristy vibes at all. If you’re visiting Oaxaca and want a fun, low-pressure way to understand the culture (and eat extremely well), I would 100% recommend this tour. It’s such a great introduction to the city and definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Goyo was an absolutely wonderful tour guide around Oaxaca! He had great information on all of the food we ate and also on Oaxaca as a whole. We enjoyed watching Goyo interact with his community and hearing about his perspectives on Oaxaca and Mexico on a global scale. The food was also absolutely delicious and we are so glad we had the opportunity to try lots of things we may not have tried otherwise.

We had a wonderful tour with Goyo, experiencing Oaxaca through the eyes (and stomach) of a local! We had tacos, empanadas, tlayudas, agua de chocolate, tejate, tamal, quesillo, mole, toured multiples markets… all in 3-4 hours. Come hungry! Goyo was personable and knowledgable, with a great sense of humor. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca!

We cannot recommend this tour enough. Valeria was a wonderful guide. She introduced us not only to the food but the wonderful community that exists across Oaxaca. It’s a really special experience. The diversity of food and drinks was unmatched. Each and every stall was our favourite! You learn about the history of the place. Should be required for all tourists visiting the area. But also, just lovely vibes!
