During the walking food tour, we’ll roam Oaxaca’s Centro Histórico neighborhood, visit six of our favorite street food stands, and explore three traditional markets.

It's a walking food tour around Oaxaca’s Centro Histórico neighborhood, so bring comfortable shoes.

The sun and heat can be very intense in Oaxaca. We recommend that guests bring sunglasses, hats and sunscreen if they are sensitive to the sun, as there won’t be places to stop for for these things along the route.

Oaxaca City sits at 1,555 meters or 5,100 feet, so please get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water before the food tour.

The BEST time of your life, we didn’t want it to end. Eating your way through Oaxaca with our guide Goyo is like hanging with a close friend. He has an infectious energy and love for his home and left us with so much knowledge and love for this city and the culture.

We cannot recommend this tour enough. Valeria was a wonderful guide. She introduced us not only to the food but the wonderful community that exists across Oaxaca. It’s a really special experience. The diversity of food and drinks was unmatched. Each and every stall was our favourite! You learn about the history of the place. Should be required for all tourists visiting the area. But also, just lovely vibes!

we did the tour with Valeria and it was amazing!! highly reccommend. she is a local so she is super knowledgable about oaxacan culture and traditions around food and you can tell how passionate she is about sharing her culture. the food tastes incredible and is perfectly curated to be filling, but not too much. this is a must do when in oaxaca 😍

We had an incredible tour of Oaxaca City today with Valeria, and we were so lucky to be the only ones on the tour! It felt like a private experience, and we’re so glad we got her all to ourselves. She’s super friendly, interesting, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her hometown. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious — we’d tried dishes like mole before, but the places she took us to completely blew our previous experiences out of the water. We never would’ve found those spots on our own. I highly recommend you take her tour. Thanks again for everything Valeria!
