We had a great time with Goyo, eating lots of delicious food and learning so much about Oaxaca and the local cuisine. I was absolutely stuffed by the end but loved everything we tried! Goyo is so knowledgeable, great to chat with and was very helpful when it came to allergies too. It was the perfect way to spend a day wandering the streets of Oaxaca on our honeymoon. We would definitely recommend this food tour to anyone!

Goyo was the BEST!! He shared great insights into the culture of Oaxaca and selected some phenomenal eating spots. Not sure how we fit all the food in but we definitely did. This tour provided a little bit of everything, market tour, hot and cold chocolate, tamales, fruit, delicious tacos rellenos and my favorite thalyudas ;). Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh my gosh!!! We kicked off our stay in Oaxaca with this tour. It was an eye-opening experience, full of flavor and cultural expression. Our tour guide, Valeria was so kind and warm. She made us feel very comfortable and helped us understand the region's culture through her unique lens. We ate to our hearts' content. We tasted the items we requested, from the seasonal fruit to the refreshing coconut water. We tasted all the local hits and favorites, the morning and afternoon bites that were all unique and tasty. I would highly recommend Club Tengo Hambre to anyone visiting Oaxaca. Oh, last but not least, Valeria is a gem and someone my partner and I could spend hours with. Book with Clube Tengo Hambre if you really want to taste the city's best.

Best food tour I’ve ever experienced! So many stops to taste different interesting things with lessons about food, culture, and history along the way! It was an excellent walking tour, which included some markets and a little shopping.

Valeria was a fantastic host, taking us to some of the best food we had during our time in Oaxaca. We booked the tour for our first morning in the city and not only did we get some great food but it gave us the lag of the land and a good intro for our first time here. Valeria was knowledgeable, fun, and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip. I would definitely book this again!

We did a food tour with Club Tengo Hombre in Mexico City two years ago which was one of the best tours we have ever been on, so when we saw that it was available in Oaxaca we knew we had to book it. We were very fortunate to have an individual experience that it was just the two of us on the tour with our guide Goyo. He was a fantastic local guide with such knowledge of the history of Oaxaca’s culture and food that he was so willing to share. I could not recommend this tour more, the food was fantastic and the company just as wonderful. Thank yall so much for the experience, it was the perfect way to explore the taste of Oaxaca.

This was a great tour that took us to many beloved institutions in Oaxaca, many of which we went back to during the duration of our trip. Goyo, our tour guide, was especially knowledgable and took the time to answer our many questions. For those interested in the food of Oaxaca, I would highly recommend this tour.

Outstanding food tour. Visited multiple spots with incredible authentic food. The lamb taco was a standout. Our host Goyo was a joy - knowledgeable, passionate, and funny

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Valeria on this street food talk. Valeria grew up in Oaxaca, left and then returned home. The food vendors she took us to were multigenerational authentic local cooks. As we walked through several barrios, we tasted bite-sized portions of chile rellenos, empanada, tamale, queso, fried grasshoppers (yes! Surprisingly tasty), multiple types of chile and salsa verde, a variety of mole pastes (I didn’t know there were so many varieties), washed down with hibiscus water and mezcal. We bought some mole paste to take home and be a starter for home-cooked mole that I want to cook. If you are a foodie and adventurous, I would highly recommend this walk!
