The BBC and National Geographic have documented this unique and incredible spectacle of nature right here in Baja California! This natural and safe animal encounter is accessible to anyone who loves to be in the water - there is no age restriction! This is one of nature's great events and it happens in very few places around the world... but it happens right here in Cabo every summer! Cabo Private Guide is a bespoke adventure water tours company in Los Cabos specialising in private tours with awe-inspiring wildlife. We have expert guides who are all PADI Divemaster trained as a minimum but are also very accustomed to being in the water with all kinds of large aquatic animals. We offer video footage to document this special day. The super squadrons of mobula rays travel up and down the Sea of Cortez.

The tour starts at headquarters to fit equipment and then we walk 8 minutes to the boat. Your guide will give a briefing about Best Practice behaviours before setting off to scout for huge super squadrons of mobula rays! NO SIGHTINGS ARE GUARATEED and so we snorkel for one hour at the reef during this tour so you can see some of the reef wildlife if nothing is found in the blue. When spotted, the rays swim close to the surface but also swim further down deep. If you're an avid freediver you can head down to meet them. You will be in deep water and will be offered a life jacket. The activity involves a certain level of fitness as you will need to swim along to keep up! The captain will position himself close to the rays, but we don't want to disturb them by moving the boat over them, so you will need to swim out a little way to meet them. Occasionally they will come to us and move around under the boat which means we can just hang there and watch! We find that 3 hours on the water is an optimal tour length and will head back in at that time. This tour is best in the morning, Checking in at 7am.

This was theee best part of our trip to Cabo hands down! The tour guide (Leo) was so awesome! Knowledgeable and passionate about the ocean and all the things we could find. We found the rays and even went to another location to see more reefs and ocean life. 11 out of 10 recommend. So grateful for the amazing experience

Go into this knowing that the snorkeling will be great but you may not see what you are expecting. Equipment was good, using wet suit is a good idea, maybe bring a go pro with you. Our guide, David, was terrific and our experience was great.

My wife and I had a 5-star experience with Cabo Private Guide last weekend. We wanted to see the Mobula Ray migration during our visit to Cabo San Lucas. Chloe was very helpful in directing us to the right tour - the Mobula Rays had not made it down to Cabo San Lucas yet, but were in La Ventana. Chloe helped us arrange a private snorkeling tour in La Ventana with transportation provided to and from our resort in Cabo San Lucas. The actual snorkeling experience was amazing. Our guide Ophelia was very knowledgeable, super thoughtful, and very fun! We were able to swim with hundreds - perhaps thousands - of Mobula Rays while also seeing many dolphins, sea lions, some beautiful coral reefs, and even a hammerhead shark! Ophelia took some amazing pictures and videos on the GoPro for us too! We would highly recommend working with Cabo Private Guide and would like to thank both Chloe and Ophelia for helping us check off a bucket list item snorkeling with the Mobula Rays!

This was one of the greatest experience I ever had when it comes to seeing marine animals. We saw thousands of rays, under the surface as well as jumping out of the ocean. The spectacle was really amazing. In addition, we were lucky enough to be followed by a pod of hundreds of dolphins for almost 2 hours. I highly recommend this boat tour as you can see a one of a kind spectacle. And the tour guide, Ophélie, was really nice and told us a lot about those marine animals.

What a trip of a lifetime! The tour went smoothly and we snorkelled with Mobulas. They were incredible to see both on the boat and underwater. For lunch we docked at Isla Ceralvo which was a wonderful experience. On our way back to La Ventana, we encountered a herd of dolphins that swam with us for over an hour - it was a spectacle. Ophelia, our Cabo Private Guide, was attentive, friendly and really informative! If you are vacationing in Cabo and want a unique experience, a Cabo Private Guide tour should definitely be in your itinerary!

Wow!!!! This trip blew our minds! Not only was it our first time witnessing the Mobula Ray Aggregation (they even put on a spectacle for us - jumping and flipping out of the ocean) but we also saw a huge pod of dolphins from our boat and followed them for about an hour! Ophelie was an amazing guide and the whole trip flowed from start to finish! Thank you to the whole team at Cabo Private Guide. We will defo be booking again soon :D

Excellent!! The tour exceeded our expectations. Felipe was our guide and has an amazing vibe! Our plan was to snorkel with the mobules and then I would go diving alone while my boyfriend stayed on the surface (I am certified and my boyfriend is not). In the end my boyfriend was encouraged to have his "christening" diving or "discover Diving"!This I attribute totally to the trust that inspired us Felipe as a guide and as a person. I must emphasize that my boyfriend is extremely nervous in the water, but diving with Felipe did not seem his first time! Besides this the girls from the front desk were very attentive and patient, especially with me who changed their plans like a thousand times hehe. Thank you very much for this beautiful experience:)

Unfortunately we only saw a handful of Mobula rays, we just got unlucky. But we didn’t even mind too much because Filipe and Brandon, our guides, we’re incredibly knowledgeable of the area and really amazing to chat with. Our captain was outstanding, on the lookout the whole morning for anything we could jump into the water with. All of their excitement and energy really made it incredible. Even though we only saw a couple, I would still 100% recommend this to all of my friends. The teams commitment to making your morning incredible is really impressive and lovely to experience.
