We help you take iconic photographs of several locations in the Ketchikan area, including historical, cultural and nature attractions. We offer advanced and basic photographic instruction for cell phone, poin'n'shoot & DSLR camera users. We conduct our tours over a set route of 7 or 8 different locations with each location offering unique photo opportunities AND teaching opportunities. Although a majority of my photography instruction is equally applicable to BOTH cell phones, point’n'shoots and DSLR cameras, some of my instruction is specific to DSLR users.
Photo techniques taught for BOTH DSLR & cell phone & point’n’shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, macro photography...

5.00This was my favorite excursion of all we experienced in Alaska. Brock and his team was excellent. I was given pointers on better ways to use my iPhone camera. The places we visited was outstanding. We learned so much and saw new interesting places. We had visited 3 prior times but this was first time doing this excursion. If you want to see Ketchikan thru local eyes-book this one

5.00Don’t do the ordinary excursions — this was an inspired choice to get a good sense of Ketchikan’s past and present, combined with really helpful tips on how to get the best photos on your trip! Brook and Gatlin were terrific, knowledgeable and personable. We even had a coffee break with delicious cookies! Highly recommend!

5.00Spent a fabulous day with Randy. Excellent local guide. So informative, personable, lots of history, tips on shooting cool pictures. Saw lots of wildlife, an eagle right off the bat, harbor seals, salmon. Beautiful scenery, the best coffee & cookies. Couldn’t ask for a better day.

5.00If you love nature and seeing little surprises in nature, this is for you! We were fortunate to have both Adam & Mark as our guides as they gave us a Ketchikan tour we didn't expect. The places they took us to, the tidbits of information they shared and the photography tips they shared gave us the most beautiful pictures we took from our entire vacation. Adam and Mark are very accommodating and friendly. We had a fantastic day and lots of beautiful pictures to boot!
