From medieval lanes and pilgrim inns to the majestic Cathedral's Precincts, our tours will transport you back in time, regaling you with stories and revealing how the city has evolved over the years.
Founded in 1948, Canterbury Tourist Guides Ltd is an independent company devoted to conducting guided walking tours of the highest quality in Canterbury. Our tours are the official tours of the city, and the only tours to include access to the magnificent Cathedral's Precincts.
All our guides hold city Green Badges, having completed the accredited training course and passed the relevant examinations set by the Institute of Tourist Guiding.

5.00The experience was marvellous, Sue, our guide was great, really knew her stuff, made sure everyone was included and spoke clearly so that we could all hear her. The tour is quite manageable, mostly flat, no steps but cobbled streets could be uneven. An excellent introduction to Canterbury, its history and some of its famous characters. Thank you Sue.

5.00Our tour guide, Paul was exceptional. He knows the city and its history very well and is quite skilled at delivering the material. He handled questions very well. Despite torrential rain for the first 2/3 of the tour this was a great tour experience which speaks of the quality of the guide. One of the best guides we have ever had.
