What To Expect
As you arrive at the courtyard of the Collegium Maius, you step into one of the oldest corners of Krakow. This Gothic building, part of the Jagiellonian University, dates back to the 15th century. The courtyard is surrounded by red-brick walls, with elegant arcades and wooden galleries above. In the center stands a historic well, once used by students and professors. Your guide will point out where Nicolaus Copernicus studied and share stories of medieval university life. At certain hours, a mechanical clock brings out small figures representing famous scholars. This peaceful courtyard offers a quiet, atmospheric stop and a glimpse into Krakow’s academic past.
Old Synagogue
During the stop at the Old Synagogue, guests step into one of the oldest and most important Jewish heritage sites in the city, located in the heart of Kazimierz. From the outside, you’ll notice its fortress-like Gothic architecture, with thick walls and small windows reflecting the turbulent history of the Jewish community. Inside the courtyard area, your guide will explain the synagogue’s origins, dating back to the 15th century, and its role as a central place of worship and community life. Today, the building houses a museum dedicated to Jewish culture and history. While the tour typically remains outside, guests will learn about religious traditions, daily life, and the impact of World War II on Krakow’s Jewish population. This stop provides important historical context, helping bring to life the stories of Kazimierz and the people who lived here, making it a meaningful and thought-provoking part of the tour.

5.00Having never ridden a Segway before, Mike immediately put me at ease and with instruction and a quick test drive in the courtyard I was very confident to hit the streets of Krakow. Mike was very informative and on the Segway we were able to cover a lot of ground and see all the highlights of the city while Mike shared his in-depth knowledge of the city. And he is a fellow Canadian to boot. This will be the best tour you can have of Krakow

Book this for the first day of your visit. You will be so glad you did. Also, none of us had ridden a Segway before, and it was not a problem. Easy and fun!
