Saint Sophia

The portraits of the six Roman popes are painted inside the church, which reflects the relations between the Eastern and the Western church before the schism in 1054. The bare-foot Christ as well as the cycle of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste, are some of the rarities that make the gallery of “St. Sophia” unique gallery of paintings. Its magnificent architecture is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Byzantine architecture in general.

Ancient Theatre of Ohrid

National Ohrid Museum - Robevci House

The museum is located inside the Robev family house, a unique white building that is one of the landmarks of the old part of the town.

Plaoshnik

The archaeological site is located on the top of the hill, just under the Samoil's fortress. The Church of St. Panteleimon, that is located here is built by St. Clement, in the name of the patron of the healers.

Tsar Samuel's Fortress

The stone line just above the town is the symbol of Ohrid and one of the best-preserved monuments of history. According to the legends Tsar Samuil him self watches over the town and protects it.

St. Jovan Kaneo

The most photographed place in the entire Ohrid is the church of St John the Theologian, located on a lonely cliff in the settlement of Kaneo. A magnificent view of the Lake is what makes this cliff so amazing.

Bay of the Bones Museum

The reconstruction of a prehistoric village on the water is the Museum called Bay of bones. Remains of 6000 wooden piles and a lot of animal bones were found in the lake bottom just under the crystal clear water. It is believed that for every new village citizen a new crack of wooden piles was set.

Skanderbeg Square

We will admire the Scenderbeg statue in the central part of the city.

Bunk'Art 1

This bunker left as a reminder of Communist times in Tirana is today transformed into a museum and is a really magnificent place. The 24 underground rooms present some of the historical objects that were used in Communist times.

Enver Hoxha Pyramid

This magnificent building is today an object of discussion for the conversion of its use. The object is a Mausoleum for Enver Hoxha and it was designed by his daughter.
