Blasted Church Vineyards

On a crisp spring morning in 1929, a crew from Okanagan Falls had a wild idea: move an old wooden church from a deserted mining camp back home. But those pesky rusty nails wouldn’t budge—until Harley Hatfield suggested a little dynamite. Four sticks later, a blast echoed through the valley, and, to everyone's surprise, the church survived (minus the steeple). The nails were loosened, and the church was successfully rebuilt in Okanagan Falls, where it still stands today, proudly known as the "blasted church." Inspired by this daring feat, we named our winery and Hatfield’s Fuse after Harley’s explosive solution. Cheers to thinking outside the box—or inside the dynamite! Bonamici Cellars

When two good friends with a passion for Italian wines and a love for the Okanagan team up, you get Bonamici Cellars! Founded in 2012 by winemaker Philip Soo and his buddy Mario Rodi, Bonamici—meaning "good friends" in Italian—celebrates life, wine, and bringing people together. After a long search, they found their dream home in Okanagan Falls: a stunning 10-acre property surrounded by world-class wineries. Now, with a 9-acre vineyard, a gorgeous tasting room, and a new production facility, Bonamici is the perfect place to sip, savor, and enjoy life's simple pleasures with friends.
