Baku Old City

While listening to our guide you will have a chance to enjoy the harmonious interaction among the ancient oriental buildings of a typical medieval city, the European-style mansions of the “oil barons” of the early 20th century, Soviet architecture, and ultramodern hotels. Moreover, you will be informed about the unique history of Maiden Tower, City Walls, Monument to Lovers and Cats, Juma Mosque, Chinese Mosque, and many other important places of interest. The culture, people, architecture and further aspects of the Old City is different from the whole Baku which means it is “the city inside a city”.
Palace of the Shirvanshahs
One of the most important architectural masterpiece in the Old City is the Palace of the Shirvansahahs, which is also called the crown jewel of Baku. This tour will include the entrance to the Palace where will leave an unforgettable impression in your mind with the combination of its bright walls and dark stories.

5.00Visited Baku today 13 October with Naz peri who gave us a tour as per program • Guided tour of modern and historical Baku: o Highland Park (panoramic view of Flame Towers and Caspian Sea). o Seaside Boulevard, Mini Venice, Carpet Museum (outside). o Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center (outside, photo stop). • Old City walking tour (Icherisheher): Maiden Tower, Palace of Shirvanshahs, caravanserais, mosques and ancient city walls. And Naz has been very helpful

5.00Even though I took part in the Baku Old City tour alone, I explained it with passion, and it is so well explained that it is understandable! Naz is the best guide to Baku, so don't miss out on this opportunity! I didn't know about Old City at all, but I explained well so I still remember it! If you go without a guide, you don't know what each place means, so make sure to apply! Naz is the best to explain with passion!

5.00A pleasant walk through the various sights of the old city. A must try for Solo travellers! The tour guide Nazperi (Naz) will entertain you with so many anecdotes and tales of the rich history behind many of the buildings and artifacts. She's super friendly, very knowledgeable and loves meeting new people and getting to share cultural experiences.
