5.00Vijay was the best guide ever! He showed and described us Indian life from the St Jay Slum to the old Delhi. During the slum tour we saw the real life of slums in Delhi, the clothes recycling place done by the ladies of Slum, a house for rooftop view, local school etc.. In the old Delhi we saw Chandni chowk, Red fort from outside, Gurudwara Sis Ganj sahib (an amazing experience) with community kitchen visit, Fatehpuri mosque, Spice market, Naughara and at the end we went for a Bicycle Rickshaw ride. During the tour we stopped many times to try some famous street food like Jalebi, Samosa, famous Parathe at Parathe wali gali, chole bhathure, Masala chai and Mango lassi. Vijay showed us no touristic places, but markets and restaurants with local people. He was friendly and we had a lot of fun with him. I recommend him 100% !!!

5.00Most people come on these reviews and tell you whoever is the best. I can’t say that because we have never used anyone else. What I can say is Vijay is fantastic and a really nice person. He tweaked our tour to accommodate what we wanted & didn’t want. No rushing at any point & no pushing us to do things. He is very knowledgeable about the food, history & culture which you can ask him about any time. He made us feel comfortable and secure in the hustle & bustle of Old Delhi, always making sure we were OK.

5.00We had a brilliant afternoon walking the streets of Delhi with Tavrej. He took us to Chandni Chowk to try different street foods, we made stops at seven different places in total. Don’t eat lunch before joining as this tour will provide you with all of the food and drinks you could possibly need. We found Tavrej to be really personable and funny, he taught us a lot about the city, what to look out for and helped us navigate to local locations we would never have attempted to visit on our own. This was our first day in Delhi and was such a good introduction - 10/10 experience!

He made me feel so at ease and was well prepared for everything, and the food spots we visited were absolutely excellent. I cannot recommend this tour enough - a great way to start my trip to India. 5.00From the moment we scheduled the tour and arranged the meeting point, our guide was attentive and communicative. Even before we left for the tour, he told us about the history of the city. We had the opportunity to experience authentic Indian food in quality establishments without any health risks, which is always a concern for us tourists. He always made stops to tell us a little more about the history of the region. We also visited a mosque and tasted the best Lassi in Delhi (award-winning). We highly recommend this tour. Thank you for making this an excellent experience.

5.00I cannot recommend Vijay enough. He takes you to all local places, many of which are generally accepted as the birthplace of that dish. He adjusted our tour to accommodate my gluten allergy. He switching between eating and touring market areas to let you digest between stops. 5 days later, neither of us experienced any sickness. Booked as a free tour, we spent about 1800 rupees throughout the tour on food/drinks for 2 people.

5.00If you enjoy real street food experience then this tour is definitely what you’re looking for. After an interesting and appealing walk through the spices market you get the chance to experience super tasty traditional Indian food at those places where Indians get it. No tourist trap but real Indian food made by authentic people. At the end you will even taste the best mango lasi in Delhi. Vijay is an experienced guide, explaining everything with detail, tailoring explanations to audience questions and committed to follow the group schedule. Really worth the money spent.
