A convenient and straightforward way to learn about and explore Old San Juan is with a local, knowledgeable guide who will lead you on an easy 2-hour history stroll through the oldest section of the city. Following the tour, you will understand the history behind the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, its unique ties to the US, as well as its rich Spanish, Taino Indian, and West African heritage.
Perfect for all ages, the tour will explore landmarks such as La Casa Estrecha and La Catedral de San Juan Bautista – Old San Juan’s venerated cathedral, which is Puerto Rico’s grandest religious building. Additionally, you will discover parts of the city’s impressive defensive system, including its walls, only remaining entrance door, and Fortaleza, the fort known as the “mistake” the Spanish made! Our tours also visit La Rogativa, La Capilla de Cristo, and many other "must-see" sites.

Claudia did such an amazing job! We had some of the best food we’ve had during our honeymoon in PR, and it was fun to learn about the different history behind both the food and the restaurants we visited in Old San Juan. Claudia was a wonderful guide, super funny, and always made sure everyone was with the group and that we were having a good time! We did a three hour walking tour with a group of 10, and it was the perfect afternoon.

You’ll have more time stopping for bathroom breaks and food breaks then learning about old San Juan. Tour guide good at knowing people’s names and the individuals but that is not what we paid for. Otherwise she was knowledgeable

This walking tour was a highlight of our trip! It was exactly as described and gave us a great understanding of the layout of Old San Juan while bringing the architecture and history to life. Leslie was fantastic — warm, engaging, and genuinely funny, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

We thought it would include El Morrow although it did not. Overall, our Guide was very fluent in English and very knowledgeable.

Nice tour- good tour guide - one problem. We did not return to our starting point - tour guide left us in the middle of somewhere Old San Juan with vague directions - that turned out incorrect to get to a place we could obtain Uber. Disappointing - but otherwise good tour.

Pick another vendor. This vendor did not handle the situation with any sort of urgency or interest. We toured Old San Juan on our own with a map from Tour Office near cruise port.

Miguel was a fun guide. I love it when locals mix in historical facts with a bit of their personal take on things as someone who has experienced life there.

Alberto was a terrific guide. He is very personable, knowledgeable and communicates his passion for local history. The walk was a reasonable pace for all with appropriate breaks and "shade hunting".
