The walk is strenuous, but the troll tram makes it accessible to all. The walking path can be challenging, but you can also walk along the tram roadway which is paved.

There were four of us. We all loved it. It’s quite steep near the beginning but levels off and the views are worth the effort. Our tour quite was very informative

It was an okay experience- kind of expensive for what it was. You’re really just paying for a 30min bus ride to the glacier where you have to hike a very steep and rocky incline to see the glacier. There’s a cool waterfall right before the glacier and that was neat. I’d suggest trying to find a cheaper bus before booking this one.

This is a relatively difficult hike to the Briksdal Glacier, but the scenery is amazing. You should be in fairly good shape to make this climb to the pool beneath the glacier in one hour. The tour was overpriced since we were simply dropped off at the starting point and told we had 2 hours to make it up to the glacier and back before the bus left. There was no guide for the actual hike. There was no free water or sandwiches offered during this tour. The tour guide was poorly prepared and kept repeating the same stories on the way to the glacier and back to the cruise ship. She knew very little about Norway and provided no history or context to any of the sights we passed on the tour. You can probably rent a car and have a better experience visiting the Briksdal Glacier and not be hurried.
