I’m a professional chef and I had the most amazing time learning from fellow food nerd, YUCa, as we dove deep in the knowledge and she taught me several hacks I‘d never heard of. She is truly passionate about sharing her heritage via cookery, and it was a treat to do it all in her gorgeous home studio, decorated by her sake-industry husband. Easily the best class experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve had dozens all over the world). And bonus, she’s a social star!! I’ve already subscribed to her YouTube and Insta 🧡 She’s also super sweet and super adorable and super instructional. Memory of a lifetime.

I got this as a gift for my husband's birthday as he loves to cook. Yuca was so sweet and so patient with us and explained everything as we were doing it. Her home had a nice cozy atmosphere, we are currently living in Japan and cant wait to go back and learn how to make ramen!

I contacted YUCa to set up a class on a Saturday even though one wasn’t on her website. She replied quickly and was very accommodating. We did the sushi and tempura class. The food, teaching and cooking parts were all tasty and educational. We made sushi including sushi rice, miso soup, Japanese omelette, tempura and dipping sauce. I consider myself a pretty experienced cook and still learned a ton. The cooking space is very clean and nice. YUCa herself is the best part, she’s a very warm person who is a pleasure to learn from and very knowledgeable about Japanese food and culture. At the end she gave us a tour of her local grocery store which was also very interesting. Overall I’d say fantastic experience to anyone who likes cooking or food!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience learning to cook sushi and tempera with YUCa. She kindly welcomed us and the other group members into her home and made us feel very comfortable. YUCa is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about traditional Japanese cooking and is so excited to pass along her talents to so many others from around the world. If we are ever back in Japan we would most definitely come back to see YUCa and hopefully try a new type of Japanese dish.

YUCa's cooking class was an unforgettable experience! As well as being a talented cooking instructor, she can definitely hold great conversation throughout the class. YUCa's beautiful home also creates a cozy environment and there is relaxing music playing while you cook. YUCa also prepares recipe sheets for you to take home so that you can try to make the dishes on your own. My girlfriend and I look forward to expanding our Japanese cooking skills! Fun fact: YUCa has two dogs named Mario and Luigi :D

We had a wonderful day learning to create our own Japanese omelette and Sushi. YUCa is very patient and kind. We learned what ingredients to use as well as proper techniques. We had a lovely time and I recommend anyone visiting Japan to spend an afternoon with YUCa!

Looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon? Look no further! YUCas class teaches you to make Sushi and later takes you on a tour of her local grocery store. My wife is the cook in our family and she absolutely loved it. I don’t have a lot of experience in the kitchen but YUCa makes it interactive and easy so you won’t feel intimidated and as a group feels like you are hanging out with friends at a party.
