Please climb the Ogimachi Castle Ruins Observatory yourself.Walking is about 10 to 15 minutes one way.A paid shuttle bus costs 300 yen one way (paid locally).

What To Expect

Michi-no-Eki - Shirakawago

You can tour the Gassho Museum attached to the roadside station Shirakawago. Take a look at the Gassho-zukuri structure before heading to Shirakawa-go. They also sell many souvenirs. Please note that we will be closed from December 29th to January 1st, so you will have to stop at a different location. *From April 2024, the drop-in time will be 15 minutes.

The World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go is open for free exploration. Stroll at your own pace and enjoy the countryside at your own pace. A delicious lunch full of mountain delicacies is included. *The total duration of the tour is 2 hours and 50 minutes, including lunch.

Very good experience! The tour guide was very organized and prepared for the day! I never seen anything like it before and I have done dozens of tours in many countries! Tour guide was very punctual! The stops were very nice! Very scenic drive! Highly recommend !

I had a great day exploring Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. Both the guide and driver were very professional and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The scenery was stunning, and the tour was well-organized. Highly recommended!

We all loved it .( 6 in total - young adults through to older ones). Accessible and really enjoyable for all ages including children. All of the scenery including the bus ride was amazing. It was a very hot day when we travailed but the tour being in 2 stages broke up the heat and each location had plenty of lovely tea houses and cafes to cool down in. The traditional lunch was also a highlight. And our tour guide Kuroda was awesome . Funny and he struck the right balance of information and breaks for us to soak up the scenery. We cant recommend this tour highly enough.

The plans, the guides, the weather, everything was great. Shirakawago, Gokayama was more than I expected, and I enjoyed it slowly and fully. This time, I want to come back and look forward to the autumn colors. I'd love to share some great memories with my friends.

The tour was great. The bus was very comfortable and the seats had lots of leg room. The tour guide gave us lots of useful information about where we were going and he also helped us research a restaurant for latter in the day and made the booking for us. The lunch was fabulous and way better than I had expected. It was a traditional Japanese meal with lots of different components and condiments. I would highly recommend this one day tour.
