Mutianyu Great Wall
The driver and tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby (the pick-up time is based on your reservation), and then escort you to Mutianyu Great Wall, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.Mutianyu Great Wall, a breathtaking masterpiece of ancient Chinese military architecture, boasts a rich history spanning centuries. Originating in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577 AD), it was initially built for strategic defense. Under Ming Dynasty's Zhu Yuanzhang (1368-1644), General Xu Da reconstructed it on ruins, solidifying its role as a northern defense cornerstone. Further strengthened by Tan Lun and Qi Jiguang in 1569, it strategically linked Juyongguan and Gubeikou, safeguarding the capital and imperial tombs. Today, Mutianyu stands as a testament to ancient engineering prowess and strategic wisdom, attracting history and nature enthusiasts alike with its well-preserved sections, towering watchtowers, and breathtaking vistas.

5.00Great experience. Linda was very knowledgeable with Chinese history as we made our way to the Great Wall. We didn't have to worry about a thing when we arrived she had tickets ready to go. She shared a little more information while walking the wall aswell. Also guided us to the best vendors in the area. Overall, I am very satisfied with this tour.

5.00Suggested by the tour guide Linda, we decided to go to Mu Tian Yu and leave early to avoid the crowd. We left the hotel at 6am, so when we arrived there was no cue at all! The feeling was like - the Great Wall was open for our family only haha. We managed to climb up to no.14 and came down by toboggan which was great fun! All children enjoyed it. The finale was a 17 minutes helicopter trip. The day trip couldn’t be better. Thanks Linda, we had a great day!

5.00I was in Beijing for the week on a work event and found myself having some spare time on my first day here. At the last minute I reached out to Linda at Friendly China Heritage Tours who managed to arrange a guide, driver and all the tickets to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall in under 24 hours. I had a great time visiting the wall, and Linda as the guide provided great insight and information into the history of not only The Great Wall, but China too. Informative, friendly and funny she was great to be around and made the trip very enjoyable. We stopped at a great restaurant for some authentic Chinese food for lunch which was an added bonus to the day. Thoroughly recommend using this company if you are looking for a tour whilst in Beijing.
