I recently had the opportunity to experience an incredible tour with Caquiaue Tours, organized by Crazy Monkey Adventures, and I can't speak highly enough of our guide, Edgardo! From the very start, Edgardo's friendly demeanor and passion for the region made us feel welcomed and excited for the adventure ahead. The tour was a perfect blend of excitement and education. Edgardo was not only an expert navigator, but he also shared a wealth of knowledge about the local culture, history, and wildlife. As we ventured through the breathtaking landscapes of Guanacaste, he pointed out various plants and animals, explaining their significance to the ecosystem. His enthusiasm for the environment was infectious and made the experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of the tour was visiting the stunning Caquiaue area. The natural beauty there is simply awe-inspiring, and Edgardo made sure we didn't miss any of the key sights. He expertly guided us through the trails, ensuring we were safe while also allowing us to fully immerse ourselves

My wife and I had an absolute blast on our tour of Nicaragua and our guide, Eduardo, was amazing! There were so many highlights... Volcano viewpoints, folklorico towns, carriage ride in Granada, boat ride on the lake, chocolate factory… the list goes on. Eduardo made us feel safe the entire time and was very informative. He provided so much interesting history of the places we visited and the country in general. Very knowledgeable! He was also incredible at speeding up the border crossing process to and from Costa Rica which was nice. Be forewarned: there is a LOT of driving on this tour and our transportation was a small sedan that became very uncomfortable for a big guy like myself. From what I gathered the mode of transportation can vary based on group size so you may want to verify in advance. FYI: I booked our tour of Nicaragua through an agency at our hotel called Tico Tours. They organized transportation to and from the border and subcontracted Cacique Tours for the actual tour. The initial crossing of the border into Nicaragua before meeting Eduardo was nerve wracking for us as non-Spanish speakers. Not for the faint of heart. I wish the Costa Rican agency (Tico Tours) had done a better job of explaining what that was going to look like. Definitely not the fault of Cacique Tours but something to be aware of.
