Dear travellers to Moldova!
I would like to greet you warmly in my home country and introduce you to our little country. On the map of Eastern Europe, Moldova is still an unexplored country. On our one-day tour, we visit a place that can surprise Moldova – state within Moldova – tiny Transnistria, which is not found on the world map. We show and tell you about people's everyday lives, our culture and values, typical Moldovan delicacies. Lunch is served at the inn in the Bulgarian village at the locals'. On the tour we visit the fortress of Bendery, on the city walk we learn about the historical events that had shaped this region. We look at the Soviet monuments, Lenin and Suvorov monuments, the majestic building and memorial sites.

Bendery Fortress
Our first stop is the abandoned amusement park in Bendery, a place where the children once played. At the moment there are only rusted attractions and an abandoned Ferris wheel. Then we visit the 615-year-old ancient city of Bendery. Here is one of the most important sights - the castle complex from the XVI century, built by Ottomans. 250 years ago, heavy fighting between the Russian and Ottoman Empires took place here. Today Bendery Castle is considered a sprawling monument with incomparable Turkish architecture. We also visit the 19th century Orthodox church. The torture museum is also there; you climb to the highest tower of the fortress. Here at the castle you can also read Münchhausen's fairy tale 'Ride on the Cannonball' and even fly on a cannon! In the XIX century, the Swedish king Charles XII lived for 3 years. What happened to him later - you'll find out when you're there!
The Memorial of Military Glory
Afterwards we take a city walk through Bendery: we visit places that are for locals are holy. These are the memorials that remind us of fallen soldiers. There is an eternal burn here Flame and stands a combat vehicle. There is a bell tower in the center. The names of soldiers who gave their lives are engraved on the walls sacrificed for the fatherland.

We had a fantastic experience! Olga was an excellent tour guide, and special thanks also to Vasilij, our driver. We learned so much about both the history and present-day life of the region. Olga was incredibly friendly and highly knowledgeable, which made the tour even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this experience!

What an experience, I was a Soviet Studies major at University and this felt like a time warp to pre-1989. The tour is well paced, transport great and you see the uniqueness of a breakaway region inside a country. Passing armed Russian Soldiers on the road is an unique experience. Head back to the USSR on this Tour!

Incredible day in Transnistria!! Thanks to Nicolas, our English and French guide for the day. He passionately shared his culture and traditions, told little stories and reserved surprises throughout the day... day as if stopped in time. It's definitely worth it. I recommend!

It was a real genuine visit with a local guide. I felt like we learned a lot and was just having a friend showing us around rather than having a trip with a tour guide.

The tour itself was great, a lot to see and all very interesting. Nicholas was a fantastic guide. The transport did let it down though, we travelled by car and there were 4 of us (tiny me and 3 big guys) and it was very squashed. luckily the drive wasn't too long but be prepared for some discomfort.

Had a great time in Transnistria. Our guide, Nicolas, was knowledgeable and talkative and had thrown in a few gimmicks that made the trip very memorable.

My girlfriend and I decided to book this tour of Pridnestrovie last minute while in Chisinau, and it turned out to be a great decision! To anyone worried about the border crossing, I am a British citizen and my girlfriend is Russian, there were no problems at the border, the driver handled everything for us! Our tour guide Tatiana was fantastic! We went together to see the many sights in Tiraspol and more, and she shared with us so much interesting history and information about the country and the places we were visiting The real highlight of the tour, traditional lunch in the Bulgarian village was amazing, including home made wine which was some of the best i have tasted anywhere in the world! Overall this tour was fantastic and i would encourage anyone who finds themselves in Moldova to make this tour and see everything Pridnestrovie has to offer !
