Dear travellers to Moldova!
I would like to greet you warmly in my home country and introduce you to our little country. On the map of Eastern Europe, Moldova is still an unexplored country. On our one-day tour, we visit a place that can surprise Moldova – state within Moldova – tiny Transnistria, which is not found on the world map. We show and tell you about people's everyday lives, our culture and values, typical Moldovan delicacies. ES lunch is served at the inn in the Bulgarian village with the locals. On the tour we visit the fortress of Bendery, on the city walk we learn about the historical events that had shaped this region. We look at the Soviet monuments, Lenin and Suvorov monuments, the majestic building and memorial sites.

Bendery Fortress
Our first stop is the abandoned amusement park in Bendery, a place where the children once played. At the moment there are only rusted attractions and an abandoned Ferris wheel. Then we visit the 615-year-old ancient city of Bendery. Here is one of the most important sights - the castle complex from the XVI century, built by Ottomans. 250 years ago, heavy fighting between the Russian and Ottoman Empires took place here. Today Bendery Castle is considered a sprawling monument with incomparable Turkish architecture. We also visit the 19th century Orthodox church. The torture museum is also there; you climb to the highest tower of the fortress. Here at the castle you can also read Münchhausen's fairy tale 'Ride on the Cannonball' and even fly on a cannon! In the XIX century, the Swedish king Charles XII lived for 3 years. What happened to him later - you'll find out when you're there!
The Memorial of Military Glory
Afterwards we take a city walk through Bendery: we visit places that are for locals are holy. These are the memorials that remind us of fallen soldiers. There is an eternal burn here Flame and stands a combat vehicle. There is a bell tower in the center. The names of soldiers who gave their lives are engraved on the walls sacrificed for the fatherland.

Very fun, interesting and safe experience. The communications were great prior to being picked up, the driver was great and Olga our tour-guide was brilliant. She made the trip amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone and there is nothing to be scared or worried about when travelling there :)

We had a truly wonderful, although long, day in Transnistria. Our driver first took us to Tiraspol. To enter, you need a passport and you’ll receive a transit visa on a separate slip of paper — which you can even keep as a souvenir when leaving if you ask the border officers. At Alexander Nevsky Park, we met our guide Tatiana, who accompanied us throughout the day and shared a lot about the history and the city of Tiraspol. We explored all the main sights on foot and had lunch at the ‘Back in the USSR’ restaurant. There was plenty of time to see everything at a relaxed pace, visit the post office, and pick up a few souvenirs. Overall, it was an excellent tour — one I can highly recommend.

This run by a father and daughter. They are originally from Chisinau and the tour includes lunch at their house. The experience was very personal and authentic. The guide went out of the way to get us local currency. They are very special souvenirs.

I booked this tour without having any expectations for Transnistria, or Pridnestovie and being a little worried about the safety in Transnistria. Our tour guide, Tatiana made sure to let me know everything I needed to know for the trip and what to take with me. I had asked for a pickup from my hotel and I got it without any problems. Our driver, Nicolas was great. He gave tips along the way on what to see in the country and just overall was great. Our guide Tatiana however, was a walking wikipedia. She knew everything incredibly well and explained the history to each one of us, making sure we understood. She also answered all of our questions without hesitating, always knowing the answers. The city was beautiful and I learned so much from it thanks to Tatiana. She even took us to a bank where we could buy the "famous" plastic coins! My favorite part of the trip was honestly the lunch at Tatiana's house. Don't get me wrong, the sights were incredible but nothing beats that. For lunch we had some amazing food, made by her family and homemade red wine! It was honestly one of the best wines I had ever had. I was also lucky enough to have such amazing people with me on the tour. They were complete strangers to me at first, but we quickly hit it off and ended up having dinner together back in Chisinau. I think I made lifelong friends on this tour, as we shared our social media with each other and got along so well. I also adored the dog at Tatiana's home, definitely one of the best moments of the tour. All in all, this tour was more than worth the price. The whole trip was really safe, never felt uneasy. Tatiana was superb, couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. The sights were incredible and the souvenirs we got were amazing. I loved how everyone bonded with each other over lunch and the whole trip and I truly hope we will stay as friends. Definitely go on this tour if you have the chance, you will not regret it.

This trip to Transnistria/Pridnestrovie was the highlight of my 11-day tour around Romania and Moldova. Tatiana is a knowledgeable and thorough tour guide, and we really appreciated her insight and ability to answer every one of our numerous questions. Lunch was tasty and memorable. And shout out to Vasilii, our driver to and from Chisinau and through the passport control checkpoints. What an experience!
