This tour in the Icelandic countryside takes 1 hour and is ideal for families, groups and guests travelling in their own car. Participants will get a small taste of the Icelandic horse’s qualities and experience the Icelandic countryside on horseback. We meet at our farm and ride on excellent riding paths and along the meadows around Eldhestars farm Vellir.

5.00We selected the short tour because we are not very experienced riders but it was very adequate and we could have gone on because it was so comfortable. The staff at the stables and our guide were all very friendly and lovely and the horses also were very cute and it was def. One of our highlights!

5.00This was probably one of the happiest days for our children so far — and we as parents truly enjoyed it as well. Everything was perfectly organized, and the staff was incredibly professional and experienced. We even had time to take some beautiful photos, which was a lovely bonus. The Icelandic countryside is breathtaking, and our ride also very nice. We can wholeheartedly recommend Eldhestar and will definitely be visiting again the next time we’re in Iceland!

5.00We are more like beginners, which is why we only booked the 1-hour tour. However, it was really fun and I could have done with an extension. The riding tour guide was extremely friendly, told a lot about the surroundings during the tour and took a short photo break with us. The horses were super sweet and didn't cause any difficulties - so well suited for beginners. The weather is of course a matter of luck - we even caught sunshine. I would recommend the tour!

Our guide was especially thoughtful with my 8 year old son and made sure he had extra support when needed. Thank you - we loved this ride! We could feel the love for the horses at this very well run facility.
