We had a great experience at the cooking class today! They explained the steps very well, the explantion of the herbal garden was also great, the food was delicious! We also got the recipe book at the end. Would recommend to go here!

A highlight of our Sri Lankan trip. The family helped show us how to prepare the most delicious meal. We cooked over fire , we learnt how to combine flavours with Kumara and his wife. We visited the organic garden and then were rewarded with the most delicious tasting lunch. It was authentic and real. A must do.

Fabulous experience. Lovely genuine kind family. The pioneers of cooking classes in the area and they do it very humbly and very well. (Unfortunately envious neighbours and travel agents have tried to sabotage this gorgeous family so be careful and make sure your tuk tuk driver or your hotel manager isn't taking you to / or sending you to - an un-scrupulous imitation of this business. The owners grandparents are almost 100 and as Ayurvedic drs, they have not retired, they still welcome members of the community to share their ancient wisdom. Kumara admits he is still learning when it comes to their traditional medicine but he knows a lot already, and he his wife, and his auntie, have the cooking side of their family traditions down pat. What’s more, they have learnt how to turn their daily routine into a unique, fun, inclusive, hands on experience for travellers wanting to experience real Srilankan life. Their plot is also off the beaten path and hidden somewhat, near a spectacularly beautiful lake!! Walk there it’s a lovely walk with lots of wildlife that you wouldn’t see if you took a took took . My sisters my mother and I all loved it!

This was a really good and authetic cooking class! The family who runs it is very warmhearted and tey are the onlyones in the area who grow their plants organically! The food we made was delicious and I'm glad I chose this class.

The cooking class here was the absolute highlight of our time in Sigiriya! Kumara and his family run the class with so much passion and humor that we had so much fun, and the food at the end was absolutely fantastic – definitely a must-do when in Sigiriya!

My girlfriend and I visited here and we weren’t disappointed. Kumara was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work alongside his family. We all got involved and helped make some very tasty food and left extremely full and satisfied!

One of the most fun things we have done in sri lanka! Kumara is a super host and together with his family he gave us a super nice afternoon! You will learn how to make different typical sri lankan dishes!
