This private tour is a great way to visit the main sites in Orkney in around 5-6 hours. Ideal if you are on a day trip or a cruise ship and you want to see some of the main highlights of the island. You will be given commentary while driving around Orkney's beautiful scenery and tell you about local customs and traditions of the islands.
This tour takes you through the Heart of Neolithic Orkney visiting some of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the UK and then a coastal drive with panoramic views of the beautiful Scapa Flow to discover Orkney's wartime history with a stop at the Italian Chapel.

5.00A very informative and well run tour. A great guide, comfortable vehicle and we went to all the sites we wanted to visit. The only negative was that it started in Stromness but we were staying in Kirkwall.

5.00Loved every minute of our time on Orkney and our tour with Ian made it extra special. He was knowledgeable and friendly and the tour route gave us an opportunity to see many of Orkney’s amazing sites. Truly special day in a magical island. We will be back and I’d highly recommend this tour to any visitors to the island. Orkney ice cream also a must try!

5.00Absolutely first class. Our guide, Iain was so interesting and knowledgeable and passionate about Orkney. We had a very memorable tour seeing some amazing sights and learning about the history and landscape. My personal favourite was the Italian chapel, though I also enjoyed everything else from Skara Brae to Scappa Flow. Definitely recommend this tour and Iain as guide

5.00Can’t praise this tour enough. Our guide, Iain, was excellent, so knowledgeable, interesting and clearly passionate about Orkney. We saw so much and learnt so much about Orkney. From Scara Brae to Scappa Flow, the Ring of Brodgar, and the cathedral. The Italian chapel was the highlight of the tour, especially as Iain managed to time our visit when it was quiet. Would wholeheartedly recommend this trip and Iain.
