Swim with the gentle giants and enjoy the cool waters of the Kawasan Waterfalls!

A drive to the south of Cebu will bring you to the town of Oslob for an exciting experience with the whale sharks. For a close encounter you may swim with them or just stay on the boat. Note that touching them is not allowed.

Next stop will be the town of Badian for a dip at the Kawasan Waterfalls. Enjoy a short nature trek of 15-20 minutes, passing by rivers and trees before you hear the gushing waters of kawasan. Swim on the turquoise cool waters and delight on the beauty of nature.

Lunch will then be served at a local resto before you drive back to your hotel.

I had one free day in Cebu before work the remainder of the week. I came across this recommended tour and knew I had to go for it, despite intense jet lag and a 3:00 am pickup time! A 3-hour drive to Oslob whale sharks allowed for some catchup on sleep before an amazing experience swimming with the whale sharks for 20 free minutes! It was a great experience, with GoPro rental to allow for underwater photos swimming with the majestic creatures! But the highlight was to come after, with 10km hike/swim/jump Canyoneering adventure, which included some high cliff jumps of 10m and 15m! This was a great adventure, beginning with the longest zipline in Asia and continuing with a great mix of hiking, swimming, and rock jumping! I got lucky to be the only participant, along with my guide, Leizel. As a result I paid for two people (no solo tours), but it was worth it! And Leizel was so much fun - her enthusiasm for the canyoneering made it even more of a joy! Definitely do it!
