  This was a very fun tour, even for my teen kids. After the whiskey museum, we spent a few hours exploring Otaru, discovering different foods, glass products and small specialty shops. Masaru is a great driver and very accommodating. He even took us to a sake brewery after we told him how much we enjoyed Japanese sake. Overall a very enjoyable day.

  Otaru is a small town 30 minutes away from Sapporo and family enjoyed the short visit in there. The stop at the Nikka whiskey distillery was a good experience too. The van service was perfect and comfortable for our family’s getaway.

  We were lucky to Tomomi as our guide and driver for two private tours: Otaru and Sapporo. Both snowy days were fabulous! She took us to Nikka Whiskey museum and tasting then to Otaru to see the canal and Sakaimachi street for lunch and shopping. Thank you for showing us Otaru..

  The driver Masaru San was very nice and tried his best to help us! Very happy with his service! The car was comfortable and the touring places are very nice. Like the whiskey museum and the canal and the musical box

  We had an enjoyable time with our guide Tomomi. We got to see a lot of otaru including the whiskey museum and music box museum which were both very interesting. She slso invited us for a great ramen lunch.

  Driver helped us find a local sushi restaurant in Otaru and arranged a table for us. She also bought us a local fish snack which was very tasty. It was a fun day.

  So much to see and so little time! Weather was ideal. We stopped at Nikka Whiskey and tasted a number of whiskey and gin. A quick stop at Otaru Canal for a group picture but didn’t have time to browse the shops along canal. We found a nice restaurant that served Uni (sea urchin) along Sakaimachi Street. After lunch, we continued our walk; peeked inside the music box hall, so many varieties of boxes; and added a stop at the sake brewery.

  Best decision We made when We wanted to visit Yoichi Nikka Whiskey at the same time have the Best experience in Otaru By saving time and did not have difficulty in commuting as the distillery is in the suburb. We asked our driver to leave us in Otaru area, Sakaimachi Street, So that our time to explore Otaru area Will not be limited. Our driver was too kind and apologetic that he had to leave US as We choose to be left in Otaru. And Go back to Sapporo on our own. The train station is just a walking distance from Otaru Canal dock.
