Welcome to the 7 day Spirit of Outlander 2018 tour, inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series and Scotland’s spirited history and heritage. Our tour combines a wealth of Scotland’s ancient monuments and famous battlefields with its traditions and landscapes. And for good measure, we’ve thrown in plenty of legendary myths and folklore – as well as a surprise or two!

Spirit Journeys’ team, have prepared an action-packed Outlander tour around Scotland taking in cities and towns, and passing through some of the wonderful scenery unique to the Scottish Highlands. You’ll be transported back in time as you learn of Scotland’s gripping history, your camera will work hard to capture the country’s wonderful scenic landscapes, and you’ll finally get to visit the Outlander film locations you’ve been dreaming of.

The ceilidh on the last night of our trip was spectacular. We met characters from the Outland series, we ate authentic food from the Scottish Highlands and we danced all night. The castle was beautiful and The Bard sang for us. A Sassenach's dream!!

I had been wanting to visit Scotland again as part of family history and having read all the Outlander series of books and viewed the tv series I decided the 16 day Spirit of Outlander tour would be great to do as part of my trip. It was amazing! We visited many Outlander series sites and extras. A trip to Isles of Skye. Lewis and Harris were a special part of the trip. Our tour guide Caroline was so wonderful and knowledgeable.

One year ago next week I traveled to Scotland to join a Spirit of Outlander tour. The trip was life altering, truly. Julia put together an amazing itinerary of Outlander filming locations, superb lodgings, delectable local eateries and other locations and points of interest. Our guide was. very knowledgeable and soooo much fun! The finale event featured period food and entertainment (by candlelight!), members of the Outlander cast, and a breathtaking venue. (And I danced with a very handsome Highlander! What more could a girl ask for?! Swoon... 🥰) I made life long friends with whom I now regularly communicate. Scotland is home in my heart now. I’ll be back - ASAP! 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙

I've recently returned from beautiful Scotland where I took part in the Spirit Journeys Spirit of Outlander 16 day tour. We were immersed in everything Outlander and it was a wonderful way to appreciate this beautiful area. We visited so many incredible filming sites and learned their history pre and post Outlander. Caroline our tour guide was exceptional, Tam our driver was the best and everything was organised by Spirit Journeys so professionally. We even had some extra surprises that were way beyond anything expected. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough

I had a wonderful time. They arranged and thought of everything to make our trip special. The gala dinner at the end of the tour was the cherry on top. A castle with with antiques and extras from the outlander show performed for us. It was a trip of a lifetime for me and I’m already saving up for the next tour!

This was not my first escorted tour but definitely the one I enjoyed the most. The experience of being in the same locations as some of the scenes in Outlander, and visiting historical buildings and landmarks was extra special for someone who loves TV dramas AND history! Our guide Caroline who travelled on the bus with us is a local who really knows the history of the locations we visited, and she was extremely helpful. She even organised a massage for me during one of our longer stays. The hotels were all different and very comfortable, including an apartment in a castle! I was travelling alone but as we all shared a love of Outlander we had at least one common interest and we quickly became friends. Make sure you have comfortable non-slip shoes and a small bag to carry essentials when you are off the bus exploring. The Highland Fling (Ceilidh) on our final night was unique and so much fun!! I hope to return for a reunion tour in 2020. I was also impressed that the agent looking after our tour offered to help me make bookings for the Eurostar, as I was visiting my sister in France after our tour finished.

I joined this group tour for Outlander followers and had the best time. The accommodation was great and comfortable, the coach was comfortable to travel in and always clean. The itinerary covered quite a lot at an easy pace. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and she went out of her way to help us enjoy the tour. I enjoyed I so much I am returning later this year to tour with them again. I would recommend Spirit Journeys Worldwide to anyone wanting to book tours.
