Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish!
First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking!
You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special.
After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella.
Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Outstanding experience. Juan and Michelle were terrific hosts. Juan took us on a little tour through Valencia pointing out things to come see later before reaching the Central Market. He said it was large and wonderful and easily could have hyped it up more. A truly wonderful place to visit and shop for a few key ingredients. When we arrived to cook, Michelle greeted us with Cava and some snacks. She told us about the wines we would drink while we cooked and ate. She was very knowledgable and had great anecdotes. We then entered the kitchen to learn the secrets of paella. What a treat that was. Juan is a great teacher and clearly loves to talk paella. He gave us advice on what to use at home (including that garlic is cheating in Valencia’s paella) and where to find a good paella pan. The food was delicious and paired well with the wine. Dessert was a wonderfully light orange cake that was terrific with the Mistela.

I gave this Paella class to my husband as a gift, and he absolutely LOVED it — he was genuinely thrilled. We started with a visit to the Central Market, where we were told so much about the market itself, where to buy the best ingredients, and even learned a lot about the history of Valencia’s city center. That alone was an amazing experience. Then we cooked an incredibly delicious paella, learned an authentic recipe, discovered so many details about wine, and spent an absolutely wonderful time with the chef. Daniel is truly passionate about what he does, and you can feel how much he loves his craft. That passion makes the whole experience very warm, soulful, and special. Highly, highly recommended 🤍

We would do it again if we could! Megan was fantastic, warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. Our brief tour around town was interesting, especially the market where we got ingredients for our paella which was delicious. Great wines served with a great group of people. The kitchen/restaurant was quite charming. Our group had such a great time, we ventured into the city together and continued the party long after the paella cooking and eating was done. I don't have a single negative comment. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Excellent cooking experience - Victor was an amazing instructor! Five star all the way! The cooking venue was well appointed, also great wine tasting (many glasses heavy pour - excellent selection of Spanish wines) and delicious appetizers! Would highly recommend this experience.
