Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish!
First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking!
You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special.
After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella.
Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Mercado Central is closed in the afternoon/evening and on Sundays. Any tours happening in the afternoon/evening or on Sunday will not enter the market.
For tours not visiting the Central Market, the duration is 3hrs and available at a lower price

5.00This paella cooking class is extraordinary! They raise the bar in comparison to others. Visiting the Market to purchase needed ingredients is an amazing experience. The market is gigantic and incredible. The warm cordial reception when we arrived at the establishment made you feel so welcomed. We were pleasantly surprised by the distinguished wines and delectable hors d’oeuvres. The master chef provided clear and defined instructions so everyone knew exactly what to do. He visited every station to assist each person throughout their paella cooking experience. We laughed and cheered each other on and when it was time to dine together….we all became quiet because every bite was delicious! We HIGHLY recommend this Paella Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia!!!!!!

5.00This exceeded our expectation- had a great morning and Juan was an excellent host. Cooked in pairs or individually depending on the paella choice. Tapas and wine were provided and the hostess - sorry can’t remember her name - was delightful and obliging. The end result was delicious and better than the restaurant version we had the previous night. Value for money and would definitely recommend. Came to Valencia especially for the paella- did not disappoint.

5.00This is one of the best experiences I have ever had in all my years travelling. I have done a lot of food tours and this was a fantastic afternoon. I was surprised at how much food and wine there was. From the moment we were welcomed by Juan we felt like a small family. We did a small tour of Valencia and the market and then went to the kitchen. At that point the tapas and wine commenced together with the class. We were all involved and cooked our own lunch. During the process we were given very clear instructions and assistance and offered additional tapas and different wines. At the end we enjoyed a relaxed lunch eating what we had made and toasting our success. This was great value and I would not hesitate to do it all again. If you are in Valencia do not miss the opportunity to do this cooking course.
