Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish!

First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking!

You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special.

After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella.

Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Mercado Central is closed in the afternoon/evening and on Sundays. Any tours happening in the afternoon/evening or on Sunday will not enter the market.

For tours not visiting the Central Market, the duration is 3hrs and available at a lower price

This was the best thing we’ve ever done! Daniel & Belen were engaging, knowledgeable and took great care of everyone in the class. The wine and tapas were plentiful and very good. This was a fantastic experience that not only was an incredibly enjoyable day but a skill I will use over and over again. Daniel not only taught us how to make pealla but taught us about the history of the ingredients and how they come together. You can see his passion for food in the way he teaches. This is an experience we will do with any friends who want to come visit us in Valencia.

The attention and direction from Victor and Belen were super. We sampled several wines and tapas and finished with the seafood paella we made and a dessert. Everything was yummy and a fun experience.

We had an intimate group of only 4 students for this class. Everything was amazing, and the direction and attention from Victor and Belen were super. We sampled several wines, tapas, and finished with the seafood paella we made and a dessert. Fun and flavorful.
10/10 would recommend!

I had a great time doing the paella cooking class. It was a very mixed company of people and Megan was a great guide! The central market visit was a real added value to the cooking class and the paella we made was amazing! Would definitely recommend!

A very fun and enjoyable paella experience! The class started with a short tour of the local market, which was a great introduction and gave us insight into the ingredients and local flavors. The cooking part was extremely well organized, interactive, and fun. We really enjoyed cooking the paella ourselves in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food, great energy, and a memorable experience. Highly recommended! A huge thanks to Megan and Julia.

Had the most amazing morning lead by Megan. Loved the tour and learning some facts about the Valencia. We really enjoyed going to the market to get fresh produce for the paella. The paella making was so fun and it was great to be able to pick what paella you’d like to cook. They made my birthday feel very special, thank you Megan and Julia!

Brilliant experience from the first minute until the last. Megan was friendly and knew so much about the city and the food. Went for my partners birthday and she made her feel so special with a little surprise at the end. We also mentioned we did not drink alcohol and they worked around it so nicely and offered us alcohol free Prosecco and other drinks. Enjoyed it so much would highly recommend. Megan and Julia were amazing!
