Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish!
First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking!
You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special.
After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella.
Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Mercado Central is closed in the afternoon/evening and on Sundays. Any tours happening in the afternoon/evening or on Sunday will not enter the market.
For tours not visiting the Central Market, the duration is 3hrs and available at a lower price

5.00This was a very fun and informative class! It was a holiday, so Central Market wasn’t open but Juan gave us a tour of the area instead and pointed out some iconic restaurants on our way to the classroom. He was a great teacher, giving us many tips about the products and process. His assistant, Sofia, shared information about the delicious wines and tapas that were served throughout the class. At the end we got to eat our fabulous paella and chat with our interesting classmates. I can’t wait to try making it at home! I definitely recommend this class to have an authentic Valencian experience!

5.00I love to cook and my family loves to eat. Having the opportunity to make authentic paella in València was a perfect experience to share. Juan was a great chef and host. He shared his love of València and the tradition with paella with us. Luna was a lovely host as well taking care to offer tapas options for all our dietary restrictions.

5.00Cooking was enjoyable, especialy with Cormac being always alert for empty glases. A little more time for selecting the proper paella rice in the market would have made it an overall success.
