Paella: A Family Tradition Passed Down Through Generations
Paella has been a very special ritual for my family since I was a child. Thanks to the advice and teachings of my grandmothers, I’ve been able to recreate the same dish that I now want to share with you. You’ll learn all the steps and secrets to making an exquisite Mallorcan paella. Traditionally, we make it with fish and seafood, but we can also prepare a vegetarian or meat version, depending on your preferences.
The experience takes place in a magical village in the Tramuntana Mountains—Banyalbufar. My father settled here over 15 years ago to create what is now our home and our animals' home, which we call "Ca Tothom," meaning "The House of Everyone." The kitchen is located on the porch, and together with the garden, it creates an idyllic setting for cooking and sharing unforgettable moments.

What To Expect
Immerse Yourself in Local Culture and Cuisine with a Traditional Paella Cooking Class in a Charming Village Join us for a delightful experience where you'll dive into the heart of local culture and gastronomy. We'll meet at the village center and take a walk to discover its rich history, picturesque streets, and breathtaking views. The walk will end at our home, where you'll enjoy some traditional local appetizers before we start preparing the paella. (PLEASE NOTE: if you don't want to do the walking part you can meet us at 12 at home, just let me know and i will send some parking and home indications!) I’ll guide you through every step and share all the secrets to creating a delicious Mallorcan paella. Together, we’ll cook and savor the dish. Throughout the experience, you’ll also be accompanied by our beloved animals (cats, dogs, chickens, and more), adding an extra touch of warmth to your time with us.

5.00If we could give 10 stars we would!! Patri's direction to the meeting place was perfect. She guides you through the history of her beautiful village. She welcomes you into her home and shares her Dad & fur babies. She makes the best Sangria ever! She enriches you with her paella traditions & the full history of paella making. The paella was delicious and experience was unforgettable. We highly recommend this magical experience for you to have. What are you waiting for!

5.00This was the highlight of our trip to majorca! Patri welcomed us into her home and village and we loved the tour and local history at the start. The extras like the sangria where she shared her recipe with us and traditional majorcan snacks made it extra special alongside her lovely cats/dogs/chickens. The paella was the best we have ever had and are already looking forward to trying ourselves at home with the emailed recipe and the tips! 100% recommend for anyone visiting the island it is well worth the trip wherever you are staying - by far the best excursion we have booked in the last 4 years of visiting the island. It is worth every penny and thank you for welcoming us into your home.

5.00This was one of our favourite things we did on our whole 5 week trip around Europe! It was super easy to get to by bus from Palma and you’re met by Patri with water. You then go on a little walk around the village - I’d recommend wearing something light as it was very hot the day we went. We then walked to Patri’s beautiful home where she explained how to make sangria and made us a huge jug of it to share amongst us (she even made me a seperate white sangria as I don’t drink red!). We sat down ate some cheese, crackers and Spanish sausage and enjoyed the views and company. We then got to preparing and making the paella which was awesome. Patri was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and hospitable and the paella was 10/10 amazing - one of the best we’ve had in Mallorca! We would 100% recommend doing this experience.

The seafood paella is 10/10, you can tell the recipe is made with love and tradition - Hola Abuela! ♥️. Patri is very kind, welcoming and generous. We hope we can be back for lunch again soon.
