This is a wonderful excursion that combines Nature and Culture, allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Dry Tropical Forest and its Wetlands, learn about the different ecosystems and the importance of preserving them. As you sail along the Tempisque River you will travel through what was the most important means of communication and transport of the province of Guanacaste by ancestors, remembering part of history. Finally you will visit the town of Ortega where we will participate in the ancestral technique of preparing corn tortillas, lunch typical dishes of the area and enjoy an introduction to indigenous ceramics. Let us make you part of the family, proudly Costa Rican.

What To Expect
You embark on a 2-hour boat trip along the Tempisque River where you will observe birds, crocodiles and monkeys representative of the Dry Tropical Forest and Wetlands, then you will have lunch in a typical cafeteria in the area; in addition, you will participate in the preparation of tortillas and the production of indigenous ceramics.

5.00We actually did two days with Verny! Le Leone Waterfalls and the Palo Verde National Park tour. One word sums it up. EXTRAORDINARY! I highly recommend this guide. He treats you like family! You get to see all kinds of things and have an amazing adventure!

5.00We took a Private river/wildlife tour. It was Fabulous. Our tour guide Verny was the Best. Took beautiful pictures of all the wild life and sent them to me, was Very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and then to us to a town to do some shopping on the way back. Would Highly recommended him and would definitely use them again. Thanks Verny for a Great tour your the best you went above and beyond to make my families day Perfect

5.00We were so impressed with our experience in Costa Rica with Verny! He accommodated us to make the tour comfortable and suitable, as my father was 80 years old and has some trouble walking. We had an incredible time with Verny on the boat tour and pottery class. We saw crocodiles, monkeys, numerous birds and reptiles and Verny helped take some amazing photos taken by Verny. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was always there to lend a hand, to help my father in and out of the car or boat, and was so considerate and kind. Verny really made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommend!

5.00Went ALWAYS goes above and beyond even the highest expectations. He’s not only the consummate professional but also a lovely human being. Both my immediate family, extended family and friends have been using him for nearly 9 years. He always gives you the straight answer ( bad visibility for diving for example) even if it costs him a commission. You can’t do ANY better!
