What To Expect
Agua Clara Locks
We will go to the Panama Canal Visitor Center located in Agua Clara (Caribbean locks). We will observe the transit of the big vessels in the new locks of the Panama Canal, one of the most important engineering works worldwide.
Fort San Lorenzo
Later, we will go to San Lorenzo fort in the middle of the rainforest. This fort is considered together with the Fort of Portobelo, World Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO. We will hear the history of the real "Pirates of the Caribbean" who attacked this site.

4.00Perhaps more than the Agua Clara lock, we really enjoyed the visit to the Fort of San Lorenzo - with a spectacular view of the forest next to the mouth of the Chagres River. The guide was also very helpful. We recommend this tour.

1.00We were not able to take this trip because one of our travelers woke up sick and vomiting. We didn’t feel good about going around others like this, especially in the time of COVID. We notified the tour operator prior to the trip but to our surprise we weren’t offered a refund. The tour operator actually told us that we could still go on the trip but we weren’t comfortable going anywhere until we had a Covid test done. I have went around and around with Viator trying to get a refund but all I get is a runaround. My advice is that travelers avoid booking through Viator. I’m sure this comment will be removed but that’s okay because I plan on making a video review to warn other travelers of Viator’s lack of care for the health of it’s customers during COVID.

5.00From Alejandro's organization to Thomas' availability, they are great and tireless with customers. It was the best travel option, given that I was alone and had little time. I did not worry about anything (they deal with everything, from the transport to and from the hotel to the water bottles!) and I learned a lot (from pirate stories to contemporary events). Repeat tomorrow!

5.00The tour of Panama Canal Railway, Agua Clara and Forteza de San Lorenzo with the Alejandro guide was excellent. We enjoy the history and nature of Panama. We found the sloth, the toucans and the monkeys on the road to Fortaleza. What a rich Panama! Super recommended, Monkey Adventure.
