Tour was not as advertised; inadequate English from guide

1.00I don't like to give a negative review but feel compelled to do so. Our guide did not speak adequate English and could not answer simple questions. He talked continually throughout the tour with much repetition of trivial and uninteresting details. We went to the canal after being detoured because of a documented road closure. If he would have used a driving app, we could have avoided a long, roundabout way to the canal. At the Panama Canal, his timing for the documentary/canal viewing was not efficient and if we had listened to his recommendation, we would have been there for hours longer. The tour itinerary is listed as follows: Stop At: Panama Canal, Panama City Panama Stop At: Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador), Av. Amador, Panama City 0000 Panama Stop At: Casco Viejo, Avenida Central, Panama City Panama After the canal, he drove us around the city at random. As we drove, he pointed out at nauseam the "Spanish" architecture and where the soil from the Panama Canal was placed to create the areas now built up. By the time we headed to the Amador Causeway, it was late and there was a lot of traffic which we could have avoided if we went straight from the canal to Amador Causeway. We asked to turn around halfway along the causeway because our tour was so late and we needed to return to our hotel. Needless to say, the tour of Casco Viejo did not happen.

5.00The tour was wonderful in great part to our guide Daniel. He navigated the sometimes crazy streets of Panama City and the old town with calmness and ease. He was very knowledgeable about Panama City and its historical importance. He was very friendly and his English was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about Daniel and I’ll definitely request his services when I’m back in that part of Panama.

5.00The walk was very interesting. With visits to the Panama Canal, Casco Viejo, Flower Tour and Amateur Causeway. The guide Daniel was excellent, always very patient to communicate and demonstrating great knowledge and willingness to teach about the history and curiosities of Panama. No picked up at the hotel with a new and very good SUV and, at the end of the tour, left us in a restaurant that we would like to meet.

5.00Our guide Jorge was very flexible with the itinerary and adjusted based on how the day went. Loved putting a lock on the fence and seeing so many neighborhoods. So many parts of Paname and the history we never knew about.
A day in Panama City

5.00Thoroughly enjoyable experience! Our guide, Enilda, was very knowledgeable and quite thorough. She was also very helpful and patient with my mom, who has difficulty in walking. Our tour started off at the bridge of the Americas, then across the Amador Causeway, where we stopped frequently to take pics. Enilda also assisted us with photos. After that we headed over to Casco Viejo. This part of the tour involved alot of walking but it was wonderful. We were able to experience the culture of the Panamanian people, their art and creativity. The old city, it's architecture and beauty is definitely worthwhile to behold. We stopped for lunch at the Central Hotel in Casco Viejo, and the food was amazing. We are vegetarian and the meals was quite enjoyable and refreshing; even the staff was very courteous and pleasant. After this, we stopped at a souvenir shop. The prices were reasonable and we shopped alot, especially as the merchants were very friendly and provided great deals. We then headed over to the Panama canal, to view the passage of a vessel through the canal and the operation of the Mira Flores locks. We were also able to view the short film on the construction of this engineering phenomenon. Enilda was truly a delightful and amazing guide. She was fluent in English and Spanish and it made communication with everyone so much easier. I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Panama. It's truly a remarkable experience.
