Forget crowded bars and tourist menus, this is Panama the way locals experience it. You’ll step inside a real Panamanian home, where our local host will guide you through the entire experience.
You’ll prepare 4 classic Panamanian cocktails - each one paired with a small dish you’ll make and taste on the spot, turning the class into a relaxed gathering in a friend’s kitchen than a formal class.
As you mix and cook, your host shares stories, techniques, and everyday traditions that connect each recipe to Panama’s Caribbean roots. Everything is taught step by step, making it easy to follow whether you’ve mixed cocktails before or not.
By the end, you’ll leave with simple recipes you can recreate anywhere, new skills to impress friends back home, and the memory of one of Panama City’s most vibrant nights in an authentic local setting.

What To Expect
Prepare and enjoy 4 authentic Panamanian cocktails with a fun local host while you also make 4 matching appetizers that pair with each drink. As soon as you finish mixing a cocktail, the appetizer you just prepared comes out of the kitchen, and you taste them together - creating a smooth, natural flow of cooking, sipping, and enjoying. You’ll experience how locals eat and celebrate, and leave with simple recipes and mixology skills you can easily recreate back home.

5.00I love love loved this experience and highly recommend. We got to learn so much from Tanya and connected even more because of her connection to Florida! The kitchen is beautiful and she has recommendations for food in Panama, on the islands, and places to visit in the Mall! We will actually try and reproduce the appetizers and a couple of the drinks! We did this on day two. I recommend planning to visit the Albrook mall before or after because it’s a short ride away if you get the cooking class with Tonya. (Also. Not too far from the metro station so you can take that to another part of the city for .35 per person once you get the $2 card. Thank you Soooooo much Tanya!

It was very interactive, and we also learned about the culture and cooking tips as well that we can use at home. Would highly recommend!

5.00We had the best time at a locals home while preparing and trying real Panamanian drinks and appetizers. Catherine welcomed us into a lovely, cozy environment, where we met another couple doing the same experience. We loved it! The drinks were refreshing and the snacks were such a treat! We loved her ceviche. Catherine was especially warm and lovely. Highly recommend.

5.00This cooking class with Tanya was amazing! If you are on the fence, definitely go. She provided such a fun environment with such fresh ingredients, delicious drinks, and the food we made was some of the best we had on our trip. Can’t wait to attempt these recipes at home!

5.00Wow, what an amazing experience! This absolutely exceeded my expectations for the night. Chef Tanya welcomed us into her home as if we were family and shared with us some of the wonderful culture that makes up Panamanian food and drink. Because we were in a group, the cooking experience could be as much or as little as you wanted it to be, but Tanya made sure to include everyone and gave us all the opportunity to participate in the process. She taught us some kitchen tips and tricks and showed us some special ingredients important in Panamanian cooking. The appetizers we made were the best we had all trip and it was so fun to make everything and socialize. It felt like an intimate dinner party experience and I highly recommend it. In fact, I would 100% do this again if I ever get the opportunity to visit Panama again someday!
