  This is one of the most professionally run activity. They really do a good job helping you get in the harnesses and with your lifejacket and getting in and out of the boat, etc. They also take pictures and video that they will AirDrop to your phone. My son and I had a complete blast!

  Pleasant experience - father and son(s) operate the boat. We booked the morning of as the weather wasn’t conducive the days prior and we got a phone call to come an hour earlier than scheduled as they couldn’t guarantee if we’d still be able to parasail given the inclement weather. So we appreciated their effort to squeeze us in and we’re glad we’re able to make it. You’ll enjoy it too given the right expectation before you book: 1. The actual time you’re going to be up in the air is about 5-7 minutes, the total time mentioned in the booking is including the amount of time to board the boat, prep the gear, get you to and from the pier - middle of Laguna Madre. 2. Make sure to come 15-30 mins ahead of the booked time as they are strict. Once you arrived, you need to make a short walk down the pier and sign the waiver before boarding the boat. The way they explained it is with the analogy of flights, which is kinda fit since you’re sorta flying for a bit :) So the time you booked with them is your “flight” aka up in the air time - their argument is if your flight is at 10AM, then you wouldn’t show up right at 10AM but ahead of 10AM. There’re people who booked and got left behind because they showed up 6 minutes late. As we understood it, those people wouldn’t get refunded and wouldn’t get rescheduled to a later availability either. We read previous reviews that said the same. 3. If you’re looking for a mild and gentle ascending experience being lifted up to the air and enjoy a quiet view of the area from 500 feet above, then this is for you - no sudden rollercoaster-like lift/drop - they’ve had 3 years old and 87 years old parasailed. The best I can describe it is that it felt like taking an open air elevator while sitting down. 4. They can take pictures/videos for an additional $40(?) for you, but in our case, one of us took the video while the other took the turn. If you’re specific whether you want to parasail on your own or in tandem, then you should call ahead to ask whether it’s possible to do so given the weights and wind condition. The fact that we had $50 off promo from signing up and booking with TripAdvisor made this experience a great deal!

  The captain is very experienced, and was able to dip everyone in the water on the way back down - lots of fun! The deckhand was very attentive, and took videos and pictures, and then transferred them to my Facebook account. They were very concerned about safety, and walked you through getting connected to the parashoot, and where to put, and not put, your hands. The view of the Island was great from way up. Would definitely do it again.

  Dakota and Bear made you feel very safe throughout the excursion. Loved that it is a family owned business. This was our first experience parasailing. Bear took pictures for us. We had so much fun...we booked another trip with them two days later.

  Dakota and Bear were super cool. Love that it's a small family owned business. We had 3 in our group and they made some changes so that we could all ride together! The young guys getting us to and from the boat were friendly and on top of things. We actually got 3 experiences in 1 trip! Banana boat ride, parasailing and a ride in the boat while another couple were parasailing. And even a refreshing dip in the end! Thanks for the memory guys! 😁

  Booked my adventure online, same day for 12:30 pm, one person. 15 minutes later I get a call from the outfitter asking to move my time to 2pm because the fuel docks didn’t open until 1 pm. That time didn’t work for me and I asked to cancel with a refund and you wouldn’t refund my money.. you do this for a business. First, I find it hard to believe there were no fuel docks open on a Saturday in South Padre Island until 1 pm as there was a pretty big fishing tournament going on that Saturday. Second, it was on you, you needed to make the change…. You should have graciously refunded my money….all of it! The ACH transaction hadn’t even cleared yours or my bank or the 3rd party’s …. It was obvious to me you just didn’t want to do the job. I would recommend the parasailing experience just maybe a different outfitter.
